Abstract

The invention discloses a method for realizing the service of calling display for multimedia information, which includes the following steps: first, a calling user originates a calling; a called user confirms that the calling user supports function of an early media according to a head field value on an SIP protocol; the called user transmits information on the early media to a calling application server (AS); the calling AS receives the information on the called early media and consults with a media on a calling side; then the calling AS returns the consulted information on the early media to the called user and establishes a channel for the called early media; at last, by adopting the established channel for the called early media, the calling AS provides the multimedia information for the called user. According to the method provided by the invention, the called user is capable of seeing the multimedia information from the called user when receiving the calling from the calling user, thus enriching the modes to display the calling.
