Embodiment Construction

[0017] Referring to the drawings, reference numeral 1 generally designates a tool holder turret.

[0018] The tool holder turret 1 comprises a fixed base 2 with a cavity 3 extending along the longitudinal axis X-X. The tool holder disc 4 is mounted in rotation relative to the fixed base 1 about a coaxial axis of rotation coincident with the longitudinal axis X-X.

[0019] The first annular element 5 is mounted in a coaxial position with respect to the axis X-X, wherein the first annular element 5 is made integral with the base body 2 by means of fixing means 6, such as screws in the example. The ring element 5 carries a crown gear 7 which is then integral with the base body 2 of the turret 1 . Alternatively, the crown gear 7 can be carried directly by the base body 2 of the turret 1 .

[0020] A second ring element 8 with a crown gear 9 is arranged coaxially inside the first ring element 5 . The annular element 8 is fixed to the tool holder disc 4 by corresponding fixing me...

Abstract

The invention relates to a tool holder turret (1), comprising a fixed matrix (2) of a cavity (3) which extends along the vertical axis (XX), a tool holder plate (4), a locking device (7,8,9) which is used to lock and unlock the tool holder disk (4), an execution device (11,14) which is used to actuate the locking device (7,9,12), a control device (16,17,18) which is used to shift the tool holder plate (4) between the working places having an angle interval around the vertical axis (X-X). The control device (16, 17, 18) comprises an electrical motor (16), which comprises a stator element (18) arranged in the internal of the cavity (3) and a monomer rotor element (17). The rotor element (17) extends in the cavity (3) along the vertical axis (X-X) until the front end (17a) faces to the tool holder plate (4) and closes to the tool holder plate (4), at the same time, the rotor element (17) is axial and rotary rigidly connected with the tool holder plate (4) at the front end (17a). The rotor element (17) and the locking device (7, 9, 12), as well as the execution device (11, 14) collaborate to lock and unlock the tool holder plate (4).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a tool holder turret according to the preamble of claim 1 . Background technique [0002] Tool holder turrets are well known in the art and are commonly used to rotate and / or grind workpieces and to mount the turrets in conventional locations on machine tools. [0003] US Patent No. 5,787,767 shows an example of a tool holder turret. According to the state of the art described above, the tool holder disc is driven by a control device comprising a coaxial drive shaft concentric to the longitudinal axis of the turret and connected at one end to the tool holder disc and at the opposite end to a motor such as External control unit for the motor. Locating the motor outside the turret body would lead to problems involving cost due to the need for a gear mechanism to interconnect the drive shaft and the shaft of the rotating tool holder disc, and when the turret is installed on the machine tool, it would result in problems related t...
