Abstract

The invention requires protecting a rapid calculating method of a sum of absolute transformed difference in video coding (SATD), relating to detection of image of distortion factor in the compression decoding technology. The invention obtains the SATD by simply summing or subtracting related elements of a partitioned matrix of a difference value image block in an original space domain or processes part of Hadamard transformation and calculates the SATD for the part of Hadamard transformation matrix, which saves (partly saves) a calculation process that processing the Hadamard transformation for the related elements of a partitioned matrix of a difference value image block in prior art. The rapid calculating method of the invention is capable of effectively reducing calculation amount of SATD, maintains the original features of the SATD completely. The invention can be applied to replacing the SAD way in the distortion factor measurement selected by the optimal coding way in the sub pixel movement estimation and low calculation complex.
