Problems solved by technology

[0007] However, adopting this solution is disallowed by many standards due to the need to always maintain the user's security posture
[0008] There are several embodiments (of the known type) that allow the retraction of the bolt as the handle is turned: however, these embodiments, due to the number of interrelated parts, necessitate the use of very large box-shaped containment bodies (than for reinforced Standard locks for doors are much larger)

Embodiment Construction

[0021] Referring to the drawings, reference numeral 1 generally designates locks for reinforced doors and the like.

[0022] A lock 1 for a reinforced door comprises a box-shaped housing body 2: the body 2 is substantially shaped like a parallelepiped, having two opposite faces 3 with large surfaces, and four sides, an upper edge 4, a lower edge 5, Front edge 6 and rear edge (not shown in the figure). The box-like body 2 can be provided by adopting the standard dimensions of this type of lock, which has the advantage that it can be installed in any reinforced door without any modification to it.

[0023] The box-like body 2 is provided with suitable lateral openings 7 for the passage of at least one spring tongue (not shown in the figures) and at least one locking tongue 8: according to the embodiment shown, at least one locking tongue 8 Consisting of four cylindrical elements arranged parallel to each other and slidable transversely to the lock 1 . There are embodiments emp...

Abstract

A lock (1) for reinforced doors and the like, of the type that comprises a box-like containment body (2) which has suitable lateral openings (7) for the passage of at least one latch and at least one bolt (8), the box-like body accommodating a plurality of substantially laminar elements which are functionally associated with a cylinder, which is actuated by a respective key, and a rotating element (10) for the engagement of a handle, which is associated with the at least one latch by means of lever systems and is designed to move the latch. The lock (1) further comprises a plate (11) which performs a translational motion substantially parallel to a face (3) of the box-like body (2), having an upper end (Ha) which faces and lies proximate to a protrusion (11b) of the rotating element (10) and a lower seat for the engagement of a stem which is rigidly coupled to a carousel (12) which is pivoted, in another point, to the box-like body (2), the carousel (12) accommodating a second stem the free end of which is engaged within a slot of the laminar element (13) which is rigidly coupled to the' at least one bolt (8) which is functionally associated with the cylinder, the rotation of the handle and therefore of the respective rotating element (10) producing a translational motion of the plate (11), a rotation of the carousel (12) and a translational motion of the laminar element (13), with consequent retraction of the at least one bolt (8).

Description

technical field [0001] This invention relates to locks for reinforced doors and the like. Background technique [0002] Reinforced doors, commonly used as entrance doors to apartments and offices, have suitable sheet reinforcement members designed to provide overall reinforcement and make breaking in the door difficult. [0003] For such doors, components must be provided with the same degree of security against break-in as the door itself: the hinges should be oversized (so as to support the high weight of the door and withstand any break-in impact), the lock should have Suitably protruding and adapted to fit a deadbolt within a corresponding strikebox of the door frame, the strikebox is particularly deeply and rigidly coupled to the wall. [0004] Locks of this type are usually activated by means of a handle (in some cases the handle is provided only on the inside of the door, in other cases on both sides of the door), and by turning the key in the lock cylinder. deadbol...
