Embodiment Construction

[0021] In order to make the object, technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the solutions of the present invention will be further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples.

[0022] see figure 1 , figure 1 It is a flowchart of a method for maintaining a neighbor relationship in a TRILL network in an embodiment of the present invention. The specific steps are:

[0023] Step 101, the current RB receives Hello messages sent by other RBs on the same link in the TRILL network, and performs DRB election according to the received Hello messages.

[0024] This step is the Hello message sent between RBs before the DRB election and the DRB election is consistent with the existing implementation, and the Hello message is sent within the scope of the self-enabled VLAN.

[0025] Step 102, if the current RB is elected as a DRB, select a designated VLAN and periodically send a Hello message in the designated VLAN to not...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for maintaining neighbourship in a TRILL (Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links) network; the method comprises the following steps of: receiving Hello message sent by other RB (Routing Bridge) in the same link in the TRILL (Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links) network by the current RB (Routing Bridge), performing DRB (Data Radio Bearer) election according to the received Hello message; selecting the specified VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) and periodically sending the Hello message to inform the other RB (Routing Bridge) within the specified VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) if the current RB (Routing Bridge) is elected as DRB (Data Radio Bearer); if the other RB (Routing Bridge) is elected as DRB (Data Radio Bearer), receiving the Hello message with the specified VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) sent by the DRB (Data Radio Bearer), acquiring the specified VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) and periodically sending the Hello message within the specified VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network). The invention further discloses an RB (Routing Bridge) capable of reducing the quantity of the sent Hello messages based on the same inventive concept, reduces the consumption of the link bandwidth, and improves the CPU (Central Processing Unit) processing capability of the RB (Routing Bridge).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of communication, in particular to a method for maintaining neighbor relationship in a TRILL network and a routing bridge. Background technique [0002] Transparent Interconnection of Multiple Links (TRILL) is an L2 network standard recommended by the IETF. TRILL is of high importance as large data centers begin to leverage new technologies such as Fiber Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) to converge storage transport and IP transport onto Ethernet connections, while standard Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) will no longer be suitable Expansion of converged networks or hyperscale data centers. As FCoE adoption increases, enterprise storage will start joining other protocols on the IP network. From a storage perspective, over time, TRILL can at least replace the ubiquitous STP protocol on L2 networks. [0003] In a TRILL network, each RB interacts with other RBs on the link using Hello packets. The DRB is elected a...
