Embodiment Construction

[0019] The furniture comprises a furniture body 1 , in particular for a kitchen, which comprises a side wall 2 on opposite sides. Integrated into each side wall 2 is a guide profile 3 , which is oriented vertically and has an open groove 4 on the inwardly facing side. A carriage 5 with rollers or sliding elements is movably mounted in each guide profile 3 . Two slides 5 hold a vertically displaceable plate-shaped storage element 6 .

[0020] To move the storage element 6 , a cable 7 is provided on each side, which cable is guided in the guide profile 3 . The cable 7 is now guided via one or more deflection rollers 8 to a winding station 9 (Wickelstation). The cable 7 can be wound or unwound on a winding station 9 in order to move the storage element 6 . The winding station 9 can now be controlled via a drive. It is also conceivable to use other designs of drive for moving the storage element, for example a chain drive.
