Abstract

According to the invention, a motor vehicle (100) receives a script comprising a command for the graphical design of a display and a command for reading out a data value to a memory of the motor vehicle. The script is carried out by an interpreter (22), such that the data value is read out from the memory (12, 14, 16) and a display is provided on a display unit (24), wherein the graphical design of the display is predetermined by the script and comprises a partial representation determined by the data value.
