Problems solved by technology

[0006] Due to possible inaccuracies in the positioning of the adhesive strip on the associated side of the carrier, in some cases it may be that a hose housing produced with such an adhesive tape according to the teaching of utility model DE 20 2010 014 239 U1 cannot or cannot be produced flawlessly.
In addition, there is the danger that an adhesive strip that is not precisely positioned may still come into contact with the cable to be wound during the manufacture of the hose casing, which should in fact be avoided
Also inaccurate positioning of the adhesive strips has in some cases led to debonding of the finished hose

Embodiment Construction

[0049] figure 1 shows a device by means of which one or more adhesive tapes 2 can be produced from the carrier web 1 on the outlet side. The principle structure of each adhesive tape 2 is in figure 2 and in Figures 3 to 5 is shown graphically.

[0050] In fact, the adhesive tape 2 has in its basic structure a carrier 3 and at least one adhesive strip 4 applied to the carrier 3 . in accordance with figure 2 Within the scope of the variant shown, the carrier 3 has associated adhesive strips 4 on both sides. A similar situation applies to Figures 3 to 5 Tape in 2. In practice here one adhesive strip 4a is arranged on the carrier top side 3a and another adhesive strip 4b is arranged on the carrier bottom side 3b.

[0051] In order to distinguish between the two adhesive strips 4, the adhesive strip 4 on the carrier top side 3a is referred to below as adhesive strip 4a, while the adhesive strip 4 on the carrier bottom side 3b bears the reference numeral 4b . The indivi...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for producing an adhesive tape (2). The adhesive tape (2) possesses a tapelike carrier (3) and at least one strip (4; 4a, 4b) of adhesive which is applied to the carrier (3) on at least one side. Here, first of all, a carrier web (1), coming from a supply unit (7), is supplied to at least one coating unit (9, 10). The coating unit (9, 10) then generates the at least one strip (4; 4a, 4b) of adhesive on the carrier web (1) in its longitudinal extent, by carrying out coating with an adhesive. Lastly, the carrier web (1) is slit in the longitudinal direction into the individual adhesive tapes (2), and the two last-mentioned method steps may also be run in the opposite order.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for producing an adhesive tape having a tape-shaped carrier and at least one adhesive strip which is applied to the carrier at least on one side. Background technique [0002] Such a method is described, for example, in DE 103 09 447 A1. Adhesive tapes are usually produced in such a way that a strip-shaped carrier or carrier web is completely coated on one or both sides. The carrier material or carrier web coated in this way is then wound onto a master roll, from which the individual tape rolls with the adhesive tape wound thereon are cut or pierced. [0003] In the prior art according to DE 103 09 447 A1, the carrier material or the carrier web is guided over an impregnating roll which is in contact with the carrier web. Dipping rolls rotate in a bath with binder material. In this way the adhesive mass is transferred onto the roll surface. Individual strips of adhesive on the carrier web are thereby defined. Of c...
