Embodiment Construction

[0025] Such as figure 1 As shown, the electrosurgical apparatus of the present invention comprises a first electrosurgical device 14 , a second electrosurgical device 15 and a third electrosurgical device 16 . Each electrosurgical device 14, 15, 16 is equipped with a signal generator 17, wherein the signal generator 17 is designed to generate a radio frequency electrical signal, for example, a radio frequency electrical signal with a frequency of 500 kHz to 3000 kHz. An active electrode 18 (active electrode) and a neutral electrode 19 (neutral electrode) are respectively connected to each signal generator.

[0026] The neutral electrode 19 is connected to the patient's body. The active electrode 18 forms a handheld device operated by the surgeon. Active electrode 18 is brought into contact with the patient's tissue, and current flows through the patient's body into neutral electrode 19 . In the vicinity of the active electrode 18 , the current has a large effect on the tiss...

Abstract

The invention relates to an electrosurgical device comprising a first signal generator (17) and a second signal generator (17), wherein the signal generators (17) are configured to generate an electrical signal that can be transmitted to a patient via electrodes (18, 19). According to the invention, a control module (21) is provided in which an output value of the first signal generator (17) and an output value of the second signal generator (17) are combined to form an aggregate output value, and which determines whether the aggregate output value exceeds a predetermined threshold value. The invention also relates to a method for operating such an electrosurgical device. The invention ensures that the patient is not inadvertently treated with an excessively high electrical output.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an electrosurgical device, comprising a first signal generator and a second signal generator. The signal generator is designed to generate electrical signals that can be delivered to the patient via the electrodes. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method of operating such an electrosurgical device. Background technique [0002] In electrosurgery, tissue on a patient is treated with electrical energy, which is delivered to the tissue by a motor. A signal generator is used to generate suitable electrical signals. The effect on the tissue depends on the amount of energy delivered to the tissue. For example, electrosurgery can be used to stop bleeding or to cut tissue. [0003] Typically, multiple electrosurgical devices are used simultaneously during a procedure. In this regard, for example, one electrosurgical device is used to sever a tissue while another electrosurgical device is used to hemostatically treat...
