Abstract

The invention discloses a virtual content insertion system based on augmented reality. The system comprises a positioning mark; a shooting apparatus which shoot a image in a physical area and captures the positioning mark; and a processing unit which calculates a projection matrix of the shooting apparatus and determines a scope of a display area on the basis of positioning mark information, and calculates a transformation matrix from pixel coordinates representing the scope of virtual content to be inserted to physical coordinates representing the scope of the display area. The processing unit performs three-dimensional transformation on the virtual content to be inserted by use of the transformation matrix and then transforms the virtual content subjected to the three-dimensional transformation again by use of the projection matrix so as to insert the transformed virtual content into the display area displayed by the image. The invention further correspondingly discloses a virtual content insertion method. According to the invention, the virtual content to be inserted can be displayed in real time in the scope of the display area of the corresponding physical area in the image in a mode of augmented reality such that non-invasive personalized live-broadcast advertisement insertion is realized.
