The method, which is applied to an organic light emitting diode OLED display panel, comprises the following steps: generating corresponding relations between the greyscale brightness of at least three colors and a current; within a blank interval of a display cycle, detecting an actual current valueand actual greyscale brightness of contents which are displayed on the OLED display panel; in accordance with the target greyscale brightness of the contents displayed by the OLED display panel, searching a corresponding relation between the greyscale brightness of each color and the current, so that a target current value is obtained; and comparing the actual current value with a target currentvalue, and adjusting the actual greyscale brightness under the state that the actual current value and the target current value are inconsistent, so that the actual current value is less than or identical to the target current value.
