Abstract

The present invention provides a method and device for monitoring the capacitance value of the direct-current bus capacitor of the power electronic converter. The power electronic converter comprisesat least one alternating current/direct current conversion circuit and a direct-current bus capacitor. The power input and output interface of the alternating current/direct current conversion circuitconsists of a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is connected with an alternating-current grid of which the frequency is f, and the second end is connected with the direct-current buscapacitor, wherein f is any positive real number. The method includes the following steps of: a parameter measuring step; and a capacitance value calculation step. According to the parameter measuringstep, capacitor power having a double-f frequency component, which flows through the direct-current bus capacitor and a voltage on the direct-current bus capacitor are measured. According to the capacitance value calculation step, the capacitance value of the direct-current bus capacitor is calculated according to the capacitor power and the voltage on the direct-current bus capacitor. The present invention also provides a device for monitoring the capacitance value of the direct-current bus capacitor of a power electronic converter. The device compromises a parameter measurement circuit anda capacitance value calculation circuit.
