Abstract

The invention discloses a method for associating the logic port of a switch with a physical map port and a network management system. The method includes the following steps that: a network managementsystem establishes the physical template of a switch device; the network management system acquires the logical port information of the switch device according to the established physical template ofthe switch device; the network management system matches the acquired logical port information of the switch device with the physical port information of the physical model of a corresponding switchdevice model, so as to obtain a matching result; and the network management system automatically binds the logic port and the physical port according to the matching result under a condition that a matching degree is not smaller than a preset percentage threshold value. With the method adopted, the network management system can achieve the accurate and efficient association between the logical port of the switch and the physical map port.
