Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of motor vehicles and lighting devices, and in particular to a shading element, a light guide component comprising the shading element, and a lighting device comprising the light guide component. Background Art
[0002] The lighting device of a motor vehicle includes various lighting and / or signal indicating devices, such as the vehicle's headlights, fog lights, turn lights, brake lights, tail lights, position lights, daytime running lights, etc. The lighting device of a motor vehicle generally includes a light source and a light guide element.
[0003] As a commonly used light-guiding element, light guides are frequently used in the lighting devices of motor vehicles to guide the propagation of light and produce the desired optical shape. Desirably, light is propagated in the light guide in a total reflection manner. However, on the one hand, light leakage is inevitable on the reflective surface of the light guide. On the other hand, the leaked light will propagate through the gaps between the elements of the lighting device and the light-transmitting elements (such as lenses), and then emit out of the lighting device. Therefore, for observers, stray light is easily observed outside the vehicle, which affects the optical shape of the headlights and deteriorates the aesthetics. In addition, the stray light interferes with the optical signal generated by the lighting device, affecting the judgment of the signal.
[0004] In particular, when the structure of the light incident surface of the light guide is complex, this light leakage is more obvious. When the light guide is used in combination with a light guide reflector, in order to reduce the light leakage out of the light emitting device, a possible solution is to provide protruding ribs or ribs on the light guide reflector and position them on the path where the leaked light may propagate to block the exposure of the light. However, this increases the difficulty of molding the light guide reflector and increases the manufacturing and assembly costs. Summary of the invention

When the height of the ribs protruding from the inner circumference gradually changes along the extension direction of the shading element, the shading element has different inner diameters along the extension direction, which enables the shading element to produce a certain wedge tightness when combined with the optical element, which is conducive to the tight combination of the shading element and the optical element, and the shading element designed in this way can be applied to optical elements of different sizes, for example, to light guides of different diameters. Depending on the size of the optical element to be shaded, different parts of the shading element can be applied to combine with the light guide. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0072] Exemplary embodiments of the present invention are described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein the same reference numerals represent the same elements. In addition, in the detailed description below, for ease of explanation, many specific details are set forth to provide a comprehensive understanding of the disclosed embodiments. However, it is apparent that one or more embodiments may also be implemented without these specific details. In other cases, known structures and devices are embodied in a schematic manner to simplify the accompanying drawings.
[0073] First embodiment
[0074] Figure 1-3 FIG. 4 shows a light emitting device according to a first embodiment of the present invention. Figure 1-3 As shown, the light-emitting device 100 generally includes: a shell 1, a carrier 2, a light source assembly 3, a shading element 4, a light guide 5, an inner lens 6, a support plate 7, and an outer lens 8. The shell 1 is used to accommodate necessary elements of the light-emitting device, the carrier 2 is fixed on the shell 1, the light source assembly 3 and the light guide 5 are directly or indirectly fixed on the carrier 2, the light guide 5, the inner lens 6, and the outer lens 8 are sequentially arranged on the propagation path of the light emitted by the light source, and the inner lens 6 is connected and fixed on the support plate 7.
[0075] The light source assembly 3 may, for example, include a light source in the form of a light emitting diode or a halogen lamp, which may be a point light source or a surface light source. The light emitted from the light source assembly 3 is first irradiated onto the light incident surface of the light guide 5, enters the light guide 5 from the light incident surface, and after propagation inside the light guide, is emitted from the light exiting surface of the light guide 5, and then the light is emitted through the inner lens 6 and the outer lens 8.
[0076] In this embodiment, the shading element 4 is used to cooperate with the light guide 5 (optical element) to block the light emitted by the light guide 5. The light guide 5 is constructed to include a generally cylindrical extension portion. The shading element 4 is coated on the outer periphery of the cylindrical extension portion of the light guide 5, wherein the main body of the shading element 4 is made of rubber material and is generally hollow cylindrical. The shading element 4 includes a straight segment 43 and a curved segment 42. The straight segment 43 is located at the lower part, and the curved segment 42 is located at the upper part and connected to the straight segment 43. The length of the curved segment 42 is greater than the length of the straight segment 43. Further, the shading element 4 includes a notch 41. The notch 41 passes through the shading element 4 along the extension direction of the shading element 4, that is, extends from one end of the shading element 4 to the other end, and extends through the straight segment 43 and the curved segment 42, see Figure 4a-4c .
[0077] The shading element according to the embodiment of the present invention, when used in conjunction with a light guide, for example, when put on the light guide, can effectively block light and prevent light leakage. The shading element of the embodiment of the present invention is made of a rubber material, has good flexibility, is convenient for use with a light guide, is easy to install, and has low cost. By using the shading element of the embodiment of the present invention, the light-emitting device of a motor vehicle can be made more aesthetically pleasing and have better optical effects. Compared to the solution of providing protruding ribs or ribs on the light guide reflector to block light, the light-emitting device of the present application can simplify the molding of the light guide reflector and reduce the molding cost. Therefore, the light-emitting device of the embodiment of the present invention has a low overall manufacturing cost and is easy to assemble.
[0078] By providing a notch on the shading element, the shading element can be conveniently placed on the light guide. With the help of the elasticity of the rubber material itself, when installing the shading element, it is only necessary to open the shading element along the notch and clamp it on the light guide. The shading element is clamped and fixed on the light guide by the elastic force of the rubber material, and no additional fixing element is required. In addition, the rubber material has the advantage of being light in weight, thereby reducing the load on the light guide that carries the shading element.
[0079] Second embodiment
[0080] Figure 5-7 FIG. 4 shows a light emitting device according to a second embodiment of the present invention. Figure 5-7 As shown, the light-emitting device 100 generally includes: a shell 1, a carrier 2, a light source assembly 3, a shading element 4, a light guide 5, an inner lens 6, a support plate 7, and an outer lens 8.
[0081] The light source assembly 3 may, for example, include a light source in the form of a light emitting diode or a halogen lamp, which may be a point light source or a surface light source.
[0082] In this embodiment, the shading element 4 is used to cooperate with the light guide 5 (optical element) to block the light emitted by the light guide 5. The light guide 5 is constructed to include a substantially cylindrical extension portion. The shading element 4 is wrapped around the periphery of the cylindrical extension portion of the light guide 5. The main body of the shading element 4 is made of rubber material and is substantially trumpet-shaped. The shading element 4 includes an extension section 44 and a trumpet-mouth portion 45. The trumpet-mouth portion 45 is located at one end of the extension section 44. Figure 8a As shown, the bell mouth portion 45 is located at the lower part, and the extension section 44 is located at the upper part and connected to the bell mouth portion 45. Further, the shading element 4 includes a notch 41, and the notch 41 passes through the shading element 4 along the extension direction of the shading element 4, that is, extends from one end of the shading element 4 to the other end, extending through the extension section 44 and the bell mouth portion 45, see Figure 8a-8c .
[0083] The bell mouth portion 45 includes a first opening 451 having a first equivalent diameter and a second opening 452 having a second equivalent diameter. The first opening 451 is opposite to the second opening 452, and the first equivalent diameter is smaller than the second equivalent diameter. The equivalent diameter of the portion of the bell mouth portion 45 located between the first opening and the second opening gradually transitions from the first equivalent diameter to the second equivalent diameter. Figure 8a-8c As shown, the first opening and the second opening are circular, respectively, and the diameter of the first opening is smaller than the diameter of the second opening. In an alternative embodiment, the first opening and the second opening may be in a square shape, in which case the side length of the first opening is smaller than the side length of the second opening. It should be noted that the bell mouth portion includes an object with a truncated cone cross section, as long as there is an opening in the middle. The opening angle of the bell mouth portion may be 100-140 degrees, preferably 120 degrees.
[0084] The shading element according to the embodiment of the present invention, when used in conjunction with a light guide, for example, when put on the light guide, can effectively block light and prevent light leakage.
[0085] By providing a notch on the shading element, the shading element can be conveniently placed on the light guide.
[0086] In this embodiment, the shading element is provided with a trumpet-mouth portion, which is conducive to gathering the light leaked from the light guide, and this design increases the effective shading area of the shading element.
[0087] Furthermore, there may be multiple bell-mouth portions, which may be spaced apart and stacked on the extension portion, which may increase the strength of the shading element on the one hand, and provide a greater clamping force on the other hand. For example, the shading element 4 includes two bell-mouth portions 45, which are respectively located at the two ends of the extension section 44, or the shading element 4 includes more than two bell-mouth portions 45, one of which is connected to one end of the extension section 44, and at least one bell-mouth portion 45 is connected to the outer periphery of the extension section 44. Furthermore, the more than two bell-mouth portions 45 are spaced apart along the extension direction of the shading element 4, see Figure 8d .
[0088] According to a further preferred embodiment of the present invention, the shading element 4 includes one or more ribs 441, and the ribs 441 can be arranged on the inner circumference or the outer circumference of the shading element 4 (see Figure 8e Advantageously, the ribs extend along the extension direction of the shading element 4, that is, substantially parallel to the notches 41 of the shading element 4, or the ribs extend along the circumference of the shading element 4.
[0089] Further preferably, the ribs are arranged on the inner circumference of the shading element 4 , and the height of the ribs protruding from the inner circumference varies along the extension direction of the shading element 4 .
[0090] Advantageously, since the ribs are provided on the shading element, the strength of the shading element can be increased, and in particular, when the ribs are provided on the inner circumference of the shading element, the shading element and the light guide are in contact only at the ribs, which can ensure that the total reflection of the light guide is not affected. When the height of the ribs protruding from the inner circumference gradually changes along the extension direction of the shading element, the shading element has different inner diameters along the extension direction, which enables the shading element to produce a certain wedge tightness when combined with the light guide, which is conducive to the tight combination of the shading element and the light guide, and the shading element designed in this way can be applied to light guides of different sizes, for example, light guides of different diameters. Depending on the size of the light guide to be shaded, different parts of the shading element can be applied to combine with the light guide.
[0091] As a further improvement to this embodiment, the shading element 4 may include a snap ring 442, which may be made of metal and is disposed at one end of the extension section 44 of the shading element 4. Figure 8f When the shading element 4 is covered on the light guide 5, the shading element 4 can be fixed by clamping the clamp ring to prevent the shading element from falling off or vibrating after the rubber material may age.
[0092] The shading element 4 may also include an adhesive layer 49, which is located at the inner periphery of the shading element. Figure 8g In this way, the shading element 4 can be fixed firmly on the light guide 5 by itself.
[0093] The shading element 4 can be manufactured by an extrusion molding process to form a soft rubber sleeve, and in the extrusion molding process, a colorant can be added to the raw material to make the shading element 4 form a desired color to match the color of the surrounding elements to prevent the element from being observed from outside the vehicle so that the element can adapt to the surroundings.
[0094] To improve versatility, the shading element 4 of the present invention can be made into standard parts of different sizes. For example, shading elements 4 of different lengths and diameters can be made according to the size of the light guide and defined as standard parts, thereby providing a wider range of applications.
[0095] Third embodiment
[0096] The above shows an embodiment in which the shading element 4 is in a hollow cylindrical shape. In conjunction with the description of the third embodiment, the shading element 4 may also have other shapes, such as a hollow square column.
[0097] Figure 9-11 FIG. 4 shows a light emitting device according to a third embodiment of the present invention. Figure 9-11 As shown, the light emitting device 100 generally comprises: a housing 1, a shading element 4, a light guide 5, an inner lens 6, a printed circuit board 9 and a light blocking member 10. The housing 1 is used to accommodate the necessary elements of the light emitting device. The shading element 4, the light guide 5, the inner lens 6, the printed circuit board 9 and the light blocking member 10 are directly or indirectly fixed to the housing 1. Here, the light guide 5 is constructed as a flat light guide, the printed circuit board 9 and the light emitting diode fixed thereon are located above the light guide 5, and the light blocking member 10 is in a plate shape and is located below the light guide 5, as shown in FIG. Fig.10 As shown, the upper surface of the light guide 5 serves as the light incident surface, the light blocking member 10 located below is used to block the light emitted on the lower surface of the light guide 5, the side surface of the light guide 5 serves as the light emitting surface, and the shading element 4 is covered on one side of the light guide 5 to prevent light leakage on this side of the light guide 5.
[0098] The light emitted from the light emitting diode is first irradiated on the light incident surface of the light guide 5 , enters the light guide 5 from the light incident surface, and after propagation inside the light guide, is emitted from the light emitting surface of the light guide 5 , and then the light is emitted through the inner lens 6 .
[0099] In this embodiment, the shading element 4 is used to cooperate with the light guide 5 (optical element) to block the light emitted by the light guide 5. The light guide 5 is constructed as a flat light guide. The shading element 4 is wrapped around one side of the flat light guide. The main body of the shading element 4 is made of rubber material and is roughly in the shape of a hollow square column, but three faces are open. The shading element 4 includes a base 47 and two side wings 46. The two side wings 46 are respectively connected to the base 47 and are parallel to each other. Figure 12a-12cAs shown. Since the shading element 4 has an open surface, the shading element 4 does not need to be provided with a notch. Instead, the two side wings 46 of the shading element 4 are inclined toward the hollow interior of the square column to generate a greater clamping force to clamp the light guide 5.
[0100] Fourth embodiment
[0101] Figures 13a-13c The light guide assembly according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. Fig.13a As shown in the figure, the light guide assembly includes: a light guide 5; and a shading element 4. The light guide 5 and the shading element 4 are configured to be curved and have a substantially circular cross-section, and the shading element 4 has a notch 41, and the shading element 4 covers at least a portion of the light guide 5.
[0102] In this embodiment, the light guide 5 includes a positioning column 51 that cooperates with the shading element 4, and accordingly, the shading element 4 includes a positioning hole 48. Alternatively, the light guide 5 may include a positioning hole that cooperates with the shading element 4, and accordingly, the shading element 4 may include a positioning column. The number of the positioning column and the positioning hole can be multiple, respectively. Preferably, the positioning column or the positioning hole 48 of the shading element 4 is located on the side opposite to the notch 41.
[0103] By providing the positioning element, it is possible to prevent the shading element 4 and the light guide 5 from relative movement, including movement of the shading element along the axial direction of the light guide and rotation of the shading element relative to the light guide.
[0104] Further, the light guide assembly may include a fixing element for fixing the shading element 4 on the light guide 5, for example, the shading element 4 is fixed on the light guide 5 by glue 11. Alternatively, the light guide assembly may include a buckle to fix the shading element 4 on the light guide 5.
[0105] Fifth embodiment
