Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of image communication, and particularly relates to a low-delay image progressive transmission method based on a sliding window BATS code. The invention aims to overcome the defect of high time delay of the traditional BATS code, realize reliable image progressive transmission and improve QoE of a user to a communication system. Time delay reduction andprogressive transmission are mainly realized through combination of a sliding window BATS code and wavelet SPIHT coding. The main idea of the sliding window BATS code based on coding statistics is toimprove a common sliding window structure. According to the method, the coding information of the current window is counted to obtain the compressed data packet which does not participate in coding,the compressed data packet is continuously coded in the next window, and the success recovery probability is improved by increasing the coding probability, so that the influence of shortening of the code length of the BATS code and the coding randomness on the reliability of the scheme is reduced.
