The invention discloses a named data network sequential caching method based on a grading thought, and the method comprises the steps: calculating the grade of a current router in a current path when a router receives a data packet, calculating the total number of routers in the current path, calculating the relative distance between the current router and a content requester in the current path, and caching the content of the current router in the current path; and calculating the relative distance between the current router and the content producer in the current path, calculating the residual cache capacity of the content memory in the current router, the size of the data packet and the value of the cache flag field, and comprehensively performing cache judgment after calculation is finished. Through the thought of grading, the data frequently requested by the user is rapidly distributed to the routers around the user through step-by-step caching, the waiting time of the user for requesting the data is shortened, meanwhile, through a sequential caching mode, the data is reasonably allocated and cached, the caching hit rate of the data packet is effectively improved, and the data caching efficiency is improved. And the average request time delay and the average routing hop count are reduced.
