According to the clipping method and device, the terminal and the readable storage medium, the effective area mask image and the frame mask image are obtained according to the binary image, the maximum inscribed frame of the to-be-clipped image can be obtained by combining the effective area mask image and the frame mask image, and the to-be-clipped image is clipped by using the maximum inscribed frame, so that the clipping efficiency is improved.
