Benefits of technology

"The new Lantana plant variety, called \"Chapel Hill Yellow,\" has unique characteristics that make it different from other Lantanas. It has a low growing, layered and spreading growth habit, with leathery, scabrous dark green foliage. It also has continuous flowering, with pale yellow flower buds that open to medium yellow with a darker yellow-orange center. Additionally, it is cold hardy to USDA Hardiness Zone 7. Compared to other Lantanas, it has darker green, thicker foliage, with pale yellow flower buds and flowers that are solid colored golden yellow. It is also consistently cold hardy from year to year."

Problems solved by technology

Plants of the new Lantana were consistently cold hardy from year to year, whereas plants of the cultivar ‘New Gold’ lacked consistent cold hardiness.
