The invention belongs to the technical field of measurement on a volt-ampere characteristic of an electric material and relates to a method for measuring the volt-ampere characteristic of the electric material. The method comprises the following steps of: firstly, inputting a voltage range and an interval of the electric material to be measured, which need to be measured, then carrying out automation control according to input information, inputting the proper interval and making a volt-ampere characteristic curve of the electric material; after measuring a current passing through the material by a pA meter, outputting and transmitting the current to a measurement equipment system, enabling the number grade of the current measured by the pA meter to reach pA and measuring the volt-ampere characteristic of the high-resistance electric material; and carrying out voltage input and judgment, i.e. inputting a voltage in the given voltage range by the measurement equipment system, applying the voltage to the electric material, gradually increasing the voltage, judging whether the voltage is in the range or not by the measurement equipment system, continuously carrying out measurement if the voltage is in the range and stopping the measurement if the volage goes beyond the range. The method has a reliable principle, is accurate to measure, is visual for carrying out data analysis, is simple to operate, is time-saving, is visual in result display, is low in cost and is suitable to measure the volt-ampere characteristics of various electric materials.
