The invention discloses an address book management method and an address book management device. An address book of a user is stored on a network side and takes a user identifier which is bound with a mobile communication number of the user as an index; the communication book of each user comprises the communication information of the user and a contact person list of the user; and the list is used for storing user identifiers of contact persons. The method comprises the following steps of: when the network side receives a request for changing communication information from a first user, acquiring a first user identifier which is bound with the mobile communication number of the first user according to the mobile communication number and a first user address book which takes the first user identifier as an index and changing the communication information of the first user in the first user address book according to the request; and acquiring the address book which comprises the first user identifier and the user identifier serving as the index of the address book in the contact person list from each address book and transmitting the communication information of the first user in the first user address book to a mobile terminal which corresponds to the mobile communication number bound with the acquired user identifier.
