Abstract

The invention relates to an electronic dictionary terminal updating system and an updating method thereof. The updating method comprises a first step, a second step, a third step, a fourth step and a fifth step. In the first step, the communication terminal receives encrypted files from an update server via a communication network. In the second step, the communication terminal reads the storage paths of the file data from the integrated header. In the third step, the communication terminal reads the file version information of the file data by utilizing the individual header of the file data. In the fourth step, the communication terminal transmits the storage paths to the electronic dictionary terminal and receives the file version information of the file data in the hidden partition of the same storage path. In the fifth step, when there is at least one file data with the file version information thereof is higher than that of the stored file data, the communication terminal transmits the version information of the file data to the hidden partition of the electronic dictionary terminal.
