Embodiment 1
[0057]The automatic transmission of Embodiment 1 realizes each shift stage of 4 forward speeds and 1 reverse speed as follows by combining two of the four friction elements C1 , C2 , B1 , and B2 to be engaged simultaneously.
[0058] Such as figure 2 As shown, the shift stage of the first speed (1st) is realized by the simultaneous engagement of the second clutch C2 and the second brake B2.
[0059] Such as figure 2 As shown, the second speed (2nd) is achieved by simultaneously engaging the first clutch C1 and the first brake B1 (or the one-way clutch OWC).
[0060] Such as figure 2 As shown, the third speed (3rd) is realized by the simultaneous engagement of the first clutch C1 and the second brake B2.
[0061] Such as figure 2 As shown, the fourth speed (4th) is achieved by simultaneously engaging the first clutch C1 and the second clutch C2.
[0062] Such as figure 2 As shown, the reverse speed (Rev) gear stage is realized by the simultaneous engagement of the se...
Embodiment 2
[0130] Embodiment 2 is an example in which one of the two planetary gears is changed to a double pinion type planetary gear.
[0131] First, the configuration will be described.
[0132] Figure 11 It is a schematic diagram showing the automatic transmission of the second embodiment. Below, refer to Figure 11 The arrangement of the planetary gears of the automatic transmission of the second embodiment will be described.
[0133] Such as Figure 11 As shown, the automatic transmission of Embodiment 2 includes: a first planetary gear PG1, a second planetary gear PG2, an input shaft IN, an output shaft OUT, a first rotating member M1, a first clutch C1 (first friction element), a second Clutch (second friction element), first brake B1 (third friction element), second brake B2 (fourth friction element), and transmission case TC.
[0134] The above-mentioned first planetary gear PG1 is a single-pinion planetary gear, and is composed of the first sun gear S1, the first planeta...

Abstract
The present invention provides an automatic transmission to attain size reduction, weight reduction, and cost reduction while attaining four forward speeds and one reverse speed. The automatic transmission includes: a first planetary gearset including a first sun gear, a first ring gear, and a first pinion carrier; a second planetary gearset including a second sun gear, a second ring gear, and a second pinion carrier; an input shaft constantly coupled to the first sun gear; an output shaft constantly coupled to the second pinion carrier; a first rotary member constantly connecting the first ring gear and the second sun gear; a first friction element selectively connecting the first sun gear and the second ring gear; a second friction element selectively connecting the first pinion carrier and the second ring gear; a third friction element selectively interrupting a rotation of the first pinion carrier; and a fourth friction element selectively interrupting a rotation of the first rotary member, the automatic transmission attaining first to fourth forward speeds and one reverse speed.
Description
technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a stepped automatic transmission used as a vehicle transmission. Background technique [0002] Conventionally, an automatic transmission having two single-pinion planetary gears, two clutches, and three brakes is known as an automatic transmission having four forward speeds and one reverse speed with two planetary planets and five friction elements. Automatic transmission (for example, refer to Patent Document 1). [0003] Patent Document 1: (Japanese) Unexamined Patent Publication No. H10-306855 [0004] However, the conventional automatic transmission has five friction elements in order to complete each of the four forward speeds and the first reverse speed. Since the number of parts can be reduced if the number of friction elements can be reduced, there is room for miniaturization, weight reduction, and cost reduction. Contents of the invention [0005] The present invention was made in view of the above problem...
