Problems solved by technology

However, there are some types of GPON ONUs that do not support the function of limiting the number of MAC addresses in actual applications. For this situation, the function of limiting the number of MAC addresses based on ONU cannot be realized by using traditional methods.

Embodiment Construction

[0056] The above and other technical features and advantages of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Apparently, the described embodiments are only some of the embodiments of the present invention, not all of them.

[0057] refer to figure 1 , the method for limiting the number of MAC addresses based on the ONU provided by an embodiment of the present invention comprises the following steps:

[0058] S100. Detect whether the source MAC address of the data packet from the input port is missing;

[0059] S200. If the source MAC address of the data message is missing, then according to the outer VLAN of the data message, obtain the current MAC address quantity of the corresponding ONU;

[0060] S300, judging whether the current number of MAC addresses of the ONU has reached the preset upper limit of the number of MAC addresses;

[0061] S400. If yes, discard the data packet;

[0062] S500. If not, a...

Abstract

The invention provides an ONU (Optical Network Unit)-based MAC (Media Access Control) address quantity limitation method and ONU-based MAC address quantity limitation system. The method comprises the following steps of: detecting whether a source MAC address of a data message from an input port is lacked or not; if so, acquiring a current MAC address quantity of a corresponding ONU according to an outer-layer VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) of the data message; judging whether the current MAC address quantity of the ONU reaches the upper limit of a pre-set MAC address quantity or not; if so, discarding the data message; otherwise, adding a corresponding static MAC table item corresponding to the data message into an L2 address table. With regard to GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) equipment which does not support the MAC address quantity limitation of the ONU, the ONU-based MAC address quantity limitation method and the ONU-based MAC address quantity limitation system, provided by the invention, are adopted, and ONU-based MAC address quantity limitation is realized on an OLT (Optical Line Terminal) side or a supported GPON chip; the configuration with relatively fine granularity is obtained and requirements on current network access test and actual requirements can be met very well.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of communication technology, in particular to a method and system for limiting the number of MAC (Media Access Control, Media Access Control) addresses based on an ONU (Optical Network Unit, Optical Network Unit). Background technique [0002] To control the number of access users or prevent malicious attacks on the MAC address table, devices usually need to limit the number of MAC addresses to improve network security. For example, the number of MAC addresses of switch ports can be limited, and general switches support the configuration of this function. [0003] Traditional GPON (Gigabit-Capable Passive Optical Network, gigabit passive optical network) equipment is provided by a switching chip on the OLT (Optical Line Terminal, optical line terminal) side. System-based, port-based, VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network, virtual local area network) the limit on the number of MAC addresses. For common GPON device...
