Embodiment Construction

[0089]Referring to FIGS. 1A-1C (FIGS. 1A-1C adapted from FIG. 2 of US Patent No. 7,025,234), an example of a liner-based pressure-dispensing package including a recirculation probe is illustrated. Such liner-based containers have been developed for dispensing and circulating high viscosity liquids, but the need to provide both a liquid extraction port and a liquid return port limits the possible size of the extraction flow path area to a smaller fraction of the fitting opening. The package 10 includes an outer container 42; a liner 43 (containing a liquid chemical 48) located in the container 42 and including the fitting 32 supported by the fitting holder 39; and a recirculation connector 40 configured to Cooperate with the neck 41 of the container 42 . The fitting holder 39 defines a gas passage 38 that allows pressurized gas to enter the compression space 36 between the container 42 and the liner 43 via the connector 40 . The upper portion of the connector 40 includes: a pr...

Abstract

A liner-based pressure dispensing container includes a connector-mounted probe configured such that a dip tube sits against an inner surface of a liner fitting for a sealing function. Dip tubes and probes may include increased and / or matched flow areas. A backflow prevention element may be provided adjacent to the liquid withdrawal opening to prevent backflow of liquid from the dip tube into the container. The unlined container may include a reduced diameter lower portion configured to receive the dip tube, wherein at least one associated sensor senses a condition indicative of emptying of liquid from the lower portion. A shipping cap may be included for removing headspace gas from the liner. In one embodiment, the shipping cover is adapted to be directly connected to the distribution process.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims priority to US Provisional Patent Application No. 61 / 880,330, filed September 20, 2013, the contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference in their entirety. technical field [0003] The present disclosure relates to fluid handling and dispensing systems, such as may be used to dispense the contents of liner-based containers. More specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the use of pressurized gas to dispense highly viscous liquid-containing materials, including but not limited to, clear resins, while minimizing or reducing the formation of air bubbles, and minimizing or reducing these Contact between material and surrounding environment. Particular embodiments relate to the manufacture, use and deployment of such systems. Background technique [0004] In many industrial applications, chemical reagents and mixtures need to be supplied in a state of high purity, and...
