The express packet put-in machine for the intelligent container comprises a machine frame, a walking module, a lifting module, a push-in module, a door closing module, a door opening module and an electric cabinet. The walking module drives the machine frame to horizontally move, the walking module drives the lifting module so as to drive the push-in module to vertically move, a magnet of the door closing module can be attracted to an opened container door, and a door-closing direct current motor of the door closing module drives a shifting rod to close the door. The express packet put-in method of the express packet put-in machine for the intelligent container includes the steps that a PLC achieves positioning of the machine frame and the lifting module according to express packet position coordinates; after the express packet put-in machine for the intelligent container reaches the position where an express packet needs to be put, the PLC controls the push-in module to put the express packet into an opened door of the container; the door closing module closes the door of the container after the push-in module descends; and the push-in module and the machine frame return to the initial positions. Full-automatic express packet put-in can be achieved after the express packet put-in machine and an intelligent container system are connected.
