The embodiment of the invention provides a voice control method for a call, and a mobile terminal. The method comprises the following steps of: detecting whether the mobile terminal adopts VoLTE voice call dialing or not; if so, detecting the waiting time from a dialing event for triggering the VoLTE voice call dialing to the fact that a VoLTE voice call of a called terminal is put through, and turning off a telephone transmitter of the mobile terminal after putting through the VoLTE voice call when the waiting time is less than a pre-set time threshold value; and, turning on the telephone transmitter if a pre-set event is detected within a turn-off period of the telephone transmitter. According to the voice control method for the call, and the mobile terminal provided by the invention, when the waiting time is relatively short, the telephone transmitter is turned off in time; when the pre-set event is detected, the telephone transmitter is turned on in time; and thus, a call also can be made in time while privacy leakage of users at a calling terminal is avoided.
