The invention discloses a dual-purpose illuminating lamp which comprises a lamp body, wherein a buzzer is arranged on the lamp body; two switches, namely a first switch and a second switch, are arranged on a wall body, and connected with lamp body wires correspondingly; the on-off of the lamp body is independently controlled by the first switch; the second switch is in series control with the lamp body and the buzzer; and a timer is arranged on the second switch, and connected in series into the buzzer and a lamp body control loop. The dual-purpose illuminating lamp disclosed by the invention not only can be independently used as a lamp for providing light, but also is equipped with an alarm clock which can be under the fixed-time control; a fixed time can be set as required, and the buzzer makes a sound when the set time point is reached; meanwhile, the lamp body is turned on, thereby achieving double stimulation from the senses of hearing and eyesight as well as a very good wake-up effect; and after a user gets up, the lamp body and the buzzer can be turned off through the second switch.
