Abstract

The invention provides a method and apparatus for triggering network switching. The method includes the following steps that: when a terminal enters a stage in which the establishment of the radio bearer of voice services is initiated, the downlink reference signal receiving power (RSRP) of the terminal is obtained; if the downlink reference signal receiving power (RSRP) is smaller than a voice service interoperation threshold value of the network switching, the preset parameters of the terminal in executing current voice services are detected; whether the current voice services are in a stage from call initiating to ringing is judged according to the preset parameters; if the current voice services are in the stage from call initiating to ringing, the network switching is not triggered; and if the current voice services are not in the stage from call initiating to ringing, the network switching is triggered. With the method and apparatus of the invention adopted, the problem of call drop caused by the failure of the switching of a network which is triggered to be switched at the stage from call initiating to ringing can be solved.
