Abstract

The invention discloses a data packet transmission system and method. The system comprises a mobile terminal and an external device. The mobile terminal comprises a first application processor, a first modulator-demodulator with a built-in virtual subscriber identity module, a first radio frequency module, and an entity subscriber identity module connected with the first modulator-demodulator. The external device comprises a second application processor, a second modulator-demodulator and a second radio frequency module. When the first application processor receives a data packet obtaining request sent by the second application processor, through the preset interface, the first application processor extracts a corresponding data packet from the virtual or entity subscriber identity module, splits the data packet and adds the same identification information to the split sub-data packets, so the sub-data packets are cached to a temporary buffer of the preset interface and the second application processor extracts the sub-data packets from the buffer and combines the sub-data packets according to the same identification information. According to the system and method, the problem that the terminal is crashed due to an excessively high capacity value in the data packet transmission process is avoided.
