Abstract

The invention discloses a method for home-based old person caring by means of a robot. The robot comprises a robot body and a movable component which is connected with the robot body. The robot body is internally provided a central processor and robot arms which are connected with the robot body. The robot body is provided with a camera, a sound pickup, a sound playing module, an expression playing module and an action control module, wherein the camera, the sound pickup, the sound playing module, the expression playing module and the action control module perform communication with the central processor. The central processor is internally provided with an information extraction module and an information determining module. Home-based old person caring is realized through the following steps: a first step, respectively acquiring sound information and image information through the sound pickup and the camera; a second step, extracting user input information through the information extraction module; and a third step, generating feedback information by the information determining module. The method of the invention can reduce a lonely feeling of the old person in home-based caring.
