Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for processing session data. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a first identifier and a second identifier of a first session, wherein the first session is the session in the client of an instant messaging application, the first identifier is used for indicating participation accounts currently participating in the first session, the second identifier is used for indicating preset accounts which are allowed to participate in the first session, and the participation accounts comprise at least two accounts; sending the first identifier and the second identifier to a server; and receiving a first prompt message and a second prompt message sent by the server, wherein the first prompt message is used for prompting whether the accounts in the participation accounts are included in the preset accounts, and the second prompt message is used for prompting to perform pre-set processing on the participation accounts. The method and the device for processing the session data solve the technical problem of relatively low session safety which is resulted from member change in the session.
