Problems solved by technology

[0006] However, such systems require complex arrangements of electronic valves, which increases manufacturing complexity, manufacturing cost and weight
Furthermore, such devices rely on the tubing connecting the wand to the pump, which can become contaminated with debris drawn from the hearing device when the wand is used as a vacuum cleaner, and later when the wand is used to provide compressed air, the debris can be ejected from the rod
This may adversely affect the cleaning of hearing devices due to possible cross-contamination

Abstract

A hearing device restoration device, system, and method are disclosed. The hearing device restoration device includes a housing at least a first gas port selectively discharging air and a second gas port selectively sucking air; a user interface receiving a user input selecting an operation mode of a hearing-aid restoration apparatus; and a controller configured to detect a mode of operation basedon a measurement of pressure inside the hearing aid restoration apparatus, wherein suction is not provided by the second gas port in a first operation mode, and is provided by the second gas port ina second operation mode.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to the field of hearing devices, and in particular to hearing device restoration equipment, systems and methods. Background technique [0002] Hearing devices such as hearing instruments, personal sound amplifiers, hearing aids, active earbuds, and headphones contain electronic circuitry that may be adversely affected by moisture and debris. Hearing devices also contain inlets for directing ambient sound to the sensor (such as sound inlets), internal or external channels for transmitting sound, and outlets for outputting sound, eg, to the ear canal of the hearing device user (such as receiver outlets). These ports and channels are typically small (cross-sectional dimensions on the order of 1 mm or less), and may be susceptible to clogging or obstruction by, for example, debris. Some hearing devices, especially hearing aids, are worn by the user in various regions of the auditory canal, such as the ear canal, and are thu...
