Embodiment 1

[0048] see figure 1 , the method for testing and evaluating asphalt healing properties in this embodiment comprises the following steps:

[0049] Step 1. Preparation of PAV aged asphalt sample

[0050] The asphalt to be tested is aged by the PAV method to obtain the PAV aged asphalt, which is stored in a tank for subsequent use;

[0051] The PAV aged asphalt stored in the tank was heated in an oven at 165°C for 30 minutes, and then dispersed into a special specimen forming mold for the DSR test to form several cylindrical PAV aged asphalt samples with a diameter of 8mm and a height of 2mm, such as figure 2 shown.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for testing and evaluating the asphalt healing performance. The method comprises the following steps: aging the asphalt to be tested through a PAV method, preparing the PAV aged asphalt into a sample, carrying out a DSR healing test, calculating a pseudo shear modulus according to the test result, calculating a healing index representing the healing performance ofthe PAV aged asphalt, and predicting the healing rate and the healing potential of the asphalt to be tested according to the healing index. By means of the method, the healing rate and the healing capacity of the asphalt at different damage levels can be determined, and therefore an effective tool is provided for screening and developing new healing materials.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of performance detection of asphalt materials, and in particular relates to a method for testing and evaluating asphalt healing performance. Background technique [0002] Asphalt materials are widely used in the surface course of highways, bridges and airport runways, etc. Fatigue cracking is an important damage form of asphalt, which will lead to the degradation of the mechanical properties of the pavement structure. Asphalt materials have the ability to partially or completely heal cracks. However, this healing ability is usually not taken into account in the design and performance prediction of asphalt pavements, so the degradation of mechanical properties of asphalt materials is usually overestimated. The healing property of asphalt has become one of the research hotspots in the field of road engineering. [0003] The dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) is used to test the dynamic shear modulus (G * ) and phase angle ...
