The method comprises the following steps: obtaining pollutant monitoring data and meteorological data corresponding to a to-be-analyzed pollution event, and obtaining simulation parameters set by a user; simulating a pollution gas mass transmission track corresponding to the pollution event according to the pollutant monitoring data, the meteorological data and the simulation parameters; and positioning the position of a potential pollution source according to the pollution gas masstransmission track, and determining the contribution degree of the potential pollution source to the pollution event. Simulation parameters such as different vertical structures, different time lengths, different pollution levels and different tracking time are integrated, and track clustering and potential pollution source analysis are carried out. The method and the device have the advantages that factors are considered more comprehensively, the accuracy of pollution tracing analysis is improved, the position and contribution degree of the potential pollution source are predicted, a scientific basis is provided for pollution cause analysis and pollution prevention and treatment, and the method and the device have important significance in targeted and accurate application of pollution and development of regional joint defense and joint control research.
