[0087] Optionally, the PCBA includes test pads 66 on the outer surface 54B of the PCB 54 .
[0088] Figure 6 Portions of a circuit diagram of a hearing device with a battery cell in a battery compartment are shown. The hearing device PCBA 70 is connected to the battery cell 18 via the battery terminals 12, 14, 16 and the contacts 20, 22, 24. The electronic circuit is mounted on the PCB 54 and comprises a protector A and an EEPROM B. In other words, the electronic circuit comprises a protection and identification circuit which advantageously protects the battery from overcharging and / or discharging.
[0089] Figure 7 A cross-sectional view of an example hearing device 2A without a battery cell is shown. The battery compartment 10 of the hearing device comprises a guide element 72 which is configured to prevent the battery cell 18 from being inserted in the second orientation. The guide element 72 is formed as a protrusion in the first wall 40 and provides a recess for covering the battery cell and the battery terminals 12, 14. The guide element ensures that the battery cell is prevented from being inserted into the battery compartment 10 in the second orientation. Figure 2 In one or more examples, the guide element protrudes from the third wall 44, for example, as shown by the optional guide element 74. The guide elements 72, 74 can be integrated into one or more of the walls 40, 42, 44.
[0090] Figure 8 and Fig. 9 An example adapter 34A for a hearing device is shown, which has three battery terminals arranged in the third wall. The contacts 20, 22, 24 of the flexible PCB 54 forming the body are arranged on the outer surface 54B of the side 76 of the PCB 54, which is formed as a cylinder forming the first side wall 46 of the adapter 34A. The PCB includes a bend 77, which is folded or bent so that the top part 78 of the PCB 54 with the electronic circuit 38 and the cover 56 is folded to contact the first electrode of the battery (not shown) via the first inner contact 68 on the inner surface 54A, the first inner contact is electrically connected to the second contact 22 and the electronic circuit 38 via the conductor in the PCB 54. The adapter 34A includes a second inner contact 69 on the inner surface 54A of the PCB, which is electrically connected to the second electrode of the battery and is electrically connected to the third contact 24 via the conductor in the PCB 54. Therefore, the third contact 24 is electrically connected to the second electrode of the battery. The contacts 20, 22, 24 form a metal ring element on a first outer side surface of the adapter 34A. The adapter may be bonded to the battery.
[0091] The contacts 20 , 22 , 24 are arranged on the outer surface 54B such that when the battery unit with the adapter 34A has the second orientation, at least one of the contacts 20 , 22 , 24 does not contact a battery terminal in a battery compartment of the hearing device.
