Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a dispersion containing fine-particle inorganic powder and a cosmetic containing the dispersion. Background Art
[0002] Generally, in sunscreen cosmetics, inorganic powders such as titanium oxide and zinc oxide are usually fine-particle inorganic powders in order to improve transparency and UV shielding effect. However, since the surface area of the inorganic powder is increased, the interaction between the particles is enhanced, and as a result, the inorganic powder has the property of being easily agglomerated.
[0003] In order to improve the convenience, transparency and ultraviolet shielding effect of mixing in cosmetics, these fine-particle inorganic powders are made into dispersions. So far, various technologies for dispersing such highly cohesive powders have been studied (Patent Document 1). Among them, polyglycerol-modified silicone is known to have high dispersibility for the above-mentioned powders (Patent Document 2). In Patent Document 3, water-in-oil type cosmetics in which fine-particle inorganic powders are dispersed in an oil phase are studied. However, the dispersion of highly cohesive powders in aqueous media using polyglycerol-modified silicone has not yet been studied.
[0004] On the other hand, Patent Document 4 describes a surface-treated powder in which titanium oxide and zinc oxide are coated with silica and have excellent dispersibility in water. However, when the treated powder is blended into a cosmetic, there are problems with transparency, spreading during application, and feel during use.
[0005] In addition, in Patent Document 5, a dispersion containing a nonionic surfactant is studied, but sufficient dispersibility has not yet been obtained.
[0006] From these points of view, there is a need for a dispersion that has further improved dispersibility and provides a good feeling when blended with cosmetics.

[0038] The present invention is described in detail below. In the present invention, the ingredient name may be described as a cosmetic name or International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredient (INCI). When the cosmetic name corresponds to INCI, the English description may be omitted.
[0039] [(a)Component]
[0040] The component (a) of the present invention is a hydrophobized inorganic powder. As the inorganic powder, any raw material that can be mixed in cosmetics among powders having an ultraviolet shielding effect and used as an ultraviolet scattering agent can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Among them, it is preferably a metal oxide selected from one or more of titanium oxide, zinc oxide, and cerium oxide. The metal oxide can be a composite powder of two or more of titanium oxide, zinc oxide, and cerium oxide, and can also be a composite powder with other powders.
[0041] The number average primary particle size of component (a) obtained by image analysis using a transmission electron microscope photograph is 10 to 200 nm, preferably less than 150 nm. If the particle size is larger than 200 nm, the ultraviolet protection function is reduced, or white residue is left. If the particle size is less than 10 nm, the dryness sometimes increases and the feel of use becomes worse. The average primary particle size of component (a) of the present invention can be measured using a transmission electron microscope photograph. When the powder is not spherical, the average value of the short diameter of the particles is used as the average primary particle size. Examples of the shape of the microparticle inorganic powder include spindle-shaped, needle-shaped, bundle-shaped, elongated, roughly spherical, and rod-shaped.
[0042] For the purpose of reducing cohesion or inhibiting the activity of the powder, the inorganic particulate powder may be surface treated with silicon dioxide, hydrous silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, aluminum hydroxide, etc. before the hydrophobic treatment. In addition, when the swelling of the water-soluble polymer used in combination is hindered during the mixing of cosmetics or when there is a concern about the reduction of water resistance, it is preferred that the composite powder is not surface treated with aluminum oxide or aluminum hydroxide. In the case of a concern about the reduction of water resistance, it is preferred that the composite powder is not surface treated with silicon dioxide or hydrous silicon dioxide.
[0043] The hydrophobic treatment agent of the above-mentioned particulate inorganic powder is not particularly limited as long as it is a known treatment agent generally used in cosmetics. For example, silanes or silanizing agents such as octylsilane (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.: AES-3083), dimethyl silicone (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.: KF-96AK series), methyl hydrogen polysiloxane (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.: KF-99P, KF-9901, etc.), silicone oils such as silicone branched silicone treatment agents (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.: KF-9908, KF-9909, etc.), waxes, paraffins, organic fluorine compounds such as perfluoroalkyl phosphates, surfactants, amino acids such as N-acyl glutamic acid, aluminum stearate, metal soaps such as magnesium myristate, etc. can be listed. Especially, if it is to comprise more than one component selected from stearic acid, isostearic acid and triethoxyoctylsilane, then process becomes good, preferably with the dispersibility of (c) component. As hydrophobization treatment method, it is not particularly limited, and known method can be adopted to process. For example, wet treatment method, dry treatment method, gas phase method etc. can be listed.
[0044] The inorganic powder particles subjected to these surface treatments may also be commercially available. For example, titanium oxide particles are commercially available under the trade names of MT-01, 02, 050OTS, 100Z, 100TV, 100SAS, 150EX, 200ST, 500SAM, 505SAS, 700Z, 700BS (manufactured by Tayca Corp.), ST-455, 455WS, 457ECS, 457SA, 495M, 455FA (manufactured by Titanium Industry), STR-100A-LP, 100C-LP, 100W-LP, 100C-LF, 40-LP (manufactured by Sakai Chemical Industry). Fine-particle zinc oxide is commercially available under the trade names of MZ-150, 200, 300, 306X, 500HP, 505T, 506X, MZY-203S, 210M3S, TMZ-HA1, MZX-5080TS (manufactured by Tayca Corp.), and FZO-50 (manufactured by Ishihara Sangyo).
[0045] The content of component (a) is 10 to 70% by mass of the dispersion, preferably 20 to 70% by mass from the perspective of usability. In particular, when (d) water is added, the content of component (a) is preferably 10 to 55% by mass, more preferably 30 to 50% by mass. If it is less than 10% by mass, a sufficient ultraviolet shielding effect cannot be obtained, and if it is added in an amount exceeding 70% by mass, the spreadability during use may deteriorate, and the stability of the dispersion over time may decrease, causing an increase in viscosity.
[0046] [(b) Component]
[0047] The component (b) of the present invention is an aqueous component having one or more alcoholic hydroxyl groups, that is, a component that dissolves in water at 25° C., and can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Specifically, there can be mentioned sugar alcohols such as ethanol (INCI: Alcohol) and isopropyl alcohol (INCI: Isopropyl Alcohol), preferably lower alcohols having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, sorbitol (INCI), maltose (INCI), xylitol (INCI), glucose (INCI), glyceryl glucoside (INCI), sodium chondroitin sulfate (INCI: Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate), methyl gluceth-10 (INCI), methyl gluceth-20 (INCI), hyaluronic acid, phosphatidylglycerol, and phosphatidylinositol. In addition, polyols such as BG (INCI: Butylene Glycol), PG (INCI: Propylene Glycol), DPG (INCI: Dipropylene Glycol), pentylene glycol (INCI), 1,10-decanediol (INCI), caprylyl glycol (INCI), 1,2-hexanediol (INCI), erythritol (INCI), glycerin (INCI), diglycerin (INCI), and polyethylene glycol are listed. Among these, polyols such as BG (butylene glycol), DPG (dipropylene glycol), and glycerin are preferred from the viewpoints of solubility in water at any ratio, feeling during use, and versatility as a cosmetic raw material. In particular, diols having two alcoholic hydroxyl groups in the molecule are more preferred.
[0048] The content of component (b) is 1.0 to 30% by mass of the dispersion, preferably 1.5 to 25% by mass, more preferably 5 to 25% by mass, and further preferably 5.0 to 15% by mass. If it is less than 1.0% by mass, the stability of the dispersion deteriorates, and if it exceeds 30% by mass, the feel of the cosmetic becomes sticky, and component (b) hinders the orientation of component (c) in component (a), sometimes the viscosity increases, and sometimes the dispersibility in the aqueous medium is impaired. By mixing component (b), component (c) described later can be uniformly oriented on the surface of component (a).
[0049] [(c) Component]
[0050] The component (c) of the present invention is a polyglycerol-modified silicone dissolved in the component (b). The so-called "dissolved in the component (b)" means that the component (c) is mixed with the component (b) at a concentration of 20% by mass, and then left to stand at 25°C for 1 hour, and the state of being transparent to translucent without boundaries is defined as "dissolved", and the state of being turbid and separated into two layers is defined as "not dissolved". It should be noted that in terms of transparency, the state of being transparent to translucent when the total light transmittance measured by the method described in JIS K7361-1:1997 when filled in a cell with a thickness of 1 cm is 50% or more is defined.
[0051] Regarding polyglycerol-modified silicone, in terms of chemical structure, polyglycerol is used, and the silicone chain as the main chain can be modified in a block type or a branched type. From the perspective of maintaining the uniform dispersibility of the cosmetic material of component (a), a branched type is more preferably used. The silicone main chain may have a branched chain such as a silicone chain. Specifically, polyglyceryl-3 disiloxane polydimethylsiloxane (INCI) and the like can be cited. Examples of commercially available products include KF-6100 manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. In addition, substances that are polyglyceryl-modified silicone but are insoluble in the component (b), such as Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone (INCI: Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyldimethicone) and Lauryl Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone (INCI: Lauryl Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone), do not belong to the component (c) of the present invention.
[0052] The content of the component (c) is 1.0 to 20% by mass of the dispersion, preferably 3 to 20% by mass, more preferably 5 to 15% by mass, and further preferably 7 to 12% by mass. If it is less than 1.0% by mass, the stability of the dispersion deteriorates, and if it exceeds 20% by mass, the component (c) is oriented toward the component (a), and the component (c) is oriented, or the component (c) oriented toward the component (a) becomes easy to fall off due to the component (c) not oriented toward the component (a), and sometimes the viscosity of the dispersion increases, which may affect the dispersibility in the aqueous medium.
[0053] In addition, the ratio of the amount of the (c) component expressed by (c) / (b) relative to the amount of the (b) component is preferably 0.35 to 1.0. In particular, in terms of dispersibility and water resistance, it is preferably 0.4 to 0.9, and more preferably 0.7 to 0.9. If the ratio is less than 0.35, the (b) component hinders the orientation of the (c) component to the (a) component, sometimes the viscosity increases, and sometimes the stability is impaired. In the case of exceeding 1.0, the (c) component is not fully dispersed in the dispersion medium, and it becomes difficult to orient to the (a) component. Sometimes the viscosity of the dispersion increases, which may affect the stability.
[0054] [(d) Component]
[0055] In the present invention, water can be mixed as component (d). As water, ion exchange water, distilled water, deionized water, purified water defined in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia, hot spring water, deep sea water, etc. can be used. According to the present invention, even if component (d) is mixed, a low-viscosity, stable dispersion can be obtained.
[0056] When the component (d) is added, the amount thereof is preferably 8 to 82% by mass of the dispersion, more preferably 28 to 72% by mass, and further preferably 32 to 59% by mass. Even if the amount is less than 8% by mass, a stable dispersion is obtained, but it is difficult to achieve the purpose of reducing the viscosity by adding the component (d). On the other hand, if the amount exceeds 82% by mass, there is a possibility of problems with stability over time.
[0057] In addition, when the component (d) is mixed, a defoamer may be added to improve the handling properties during preparation and filling. Examples of defoamers include salts such as simethicone (INCI), polydimethylsiloxane (INCI), sodium chloride (indicative name (INCI: Sodium Chloride)), polyether-modified silicone, etc. In addition, oil systems such as polydimethylsiloxane can use a pre-emulsified emulsion type, and complex systems such as simethicone can use a self-emulsifying type pre-mixed with a silicone active agent. Among these, simethicone and sodium chloride are particularly preferred in terms of defoaming and anti-foaming properties, and simethicone is most preferred in terms of affinity with cosmetic ingredients. The amount of the defoamer blended is preferably 0.0001 to 1% by mass of the entire dispersion, more preferably 0.0025 to 0.6% by mass, and further preferably 0.005 to 0.01% by mass.
[0058] Without the component (d), the present invention becomes a slurry-like dispersion with high concentration and high versatility in transportation and formulation of the dispersion. On the other hand, by adding the component (d), the dispersion becomes a low-viscosity dispersion and is easy to handle.
[0059] In particular, when the component (d) is blended, the absolute viscosity of the dispersion at 25° C. is preferably 1 mPa·s or more and less than 6000 mPa·s, more preferably 1 mPa·s or more and less than 1000 mPa·s, and further preferably 1 mPa·s or more and less than 500 mPa·s. The absolute viscosity is measured by the method described in JIS K 7117-1:1999 using a B-type viscometer.
[0060] [Dispersion]
[0061] The dispersion of the present invention is easy to mix in an aqueous medium, and has the effect of being an aqueous dispersion that temporarily settles in the dispersibility test of the examples described below but is uniformly dispersed when continuously stirred.
[0062] [Method for producing dispersion]
[0063] When preparing dispersion of the present invention, as its method, device, there is no particular restriction, and known methods can be adopted to implement. For example, any agitator, pulverizer, mixer, medium agitator, rotation-revolution agitator, dispersion machine etc. such as Henschel mixer, ball mill, kneader, planetary mixer, ribbon blender, DISPER mixer, homogeneous mixer, jet mill, roller mill, bead mill can be used. Especially, from the viewpoint of mixing efficiency, it is preferred to use bead mill to disperse.
[0064] [Cosmetics]
[0065] The dispersion of the present invention can be used in various applications, and in particular can be used as a raw material for all cosmetics for external application to skin and hair.
[0066] The form of the cosmetic containing the mixed active agent of the present invention can be, for example, any of water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics, polyol-in-oil emulsion cosmetics, oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics, aqueous cosmetics, W / O / W type, O / W / O type multiple emulsions, etc. In particular, when used as a dispersion of an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic, a stable cosmetic that is easy to put in, has excellent transparency, feel in use, and water resistance can be obtained.
[0067] As the properties of the cosmetic of the present invention, various properties such as liquid, emulsion, paste, solid, paste, gel, powder, compressed, multi-layer, mousse, spray, stick, pencil, etc. can be selected. The so-called multi-layer is a cosmetic that separates into more than two layers if left standing, and is filled in a container equipped with stainless steel balls, etc., and used after shaking. The dispersion of the present invention is easy to redisperse even in such a dosage form due to its good dispersibility. It is called a vibration type, etc., and it becomes a cosmetic with excellent feel of use due to easy stabilization, but requires the work of shaking. The cosmetic of the present invention can be used even if it is not separated into multiple layers due to its preferred stability. The so-called spray is a spray-type cosmetic filled in a dispenser container, an aerosol container, etc., and sprayed from a nozzle and used. The cosmetic filled in the dispenser container is sprayed as a mist from the nozzle of the dispenser. In the aerosol container, it is filled together with the cosmetic and the propellant. There is no particular limitation on the propellant, and for example, various liquefied petroleum gases (LPG), dimethyl ether, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc. can be used. One of them can be used alone or two or more of them can be used in appropriate combination. The dispersion of the present invention has high dispersibility, so it can be used even in such a dosage form.
[0068] The present invention is applicable to various cosmetics, and is particularly preferably applied to skin care cosmetics, makeup cosmetics, antiperspirant cosmetics, ultraviolet protection cosmetics and other cosmetics for external use on skin and hair cosmetics and other cosmetics for external use on hair. As skin care cosmetics, for example, lotions, emulsions, creams, makeup removers, facial masks, oils, massage materials, beauty essences, beauty oils, cleansers, deodorants, hand creams, lipsticks, wrinkle creams and the like can be cited. As makeup cosmetics, for example, makeup bases, concealers, white powders, foundations, eye colors, eye shadows, mascara, eyeliners, eyebrow pencils, lipsticks and the like can be cited. As antiperspirant cosmetics, for example, roll-on type, cream type, solution type, stick type and other antiperspirant cosmetics can be cited. As ultraviolet protection cosmetics, for example, sunscreen oils, sunscreen lotions, sunscreen creams and the like can be cited. As hair cosmetics, for example, shampoos, conditioners, hair dyes, fixatives and the like can be cited. Among these, ultraviolet protection cosmetics are particularly preferred.
