Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention relates to the technical field of magnesium alloy material preparation, and in particular to a stirring device and method for preparing a high-strength magnesium-based composite material. Background Art
[0002] Magnesium-based composites have the advantages of high specific strength, high elastic modulus and good wear resistance. They have broad application prospects and value in the fields of automobiles, military industry, aerospace, etc. In magnesium-based composites, the selection of matrix and reinforcement plays a vital role in the final performance of the composite. The reinforcement has a certain limit to the improvement of the performance of the composite. Therefore, the selection of the matrix determines the performance level of the final prepared composite. Reinforcement is the key to achieving strengthening in composite materials. Commonly used reinforcement phases of magnesium-based composites include ceramic particles, heterogeneous metal particles, etc. These reinforcement phases play an important role in improving the mechanical properties and heat resistance of magnesium-based composites.
[0003] Semi-solid stirring casting technology is a traditional method for preparing particle-reinforced magnesium-based composite materials. It mainly involves melting magnesium alloy into magnesium melt, adding metal particle reinforcement into the magnesium melt and stirring, and then cooling to obtain a cast composite material. Traditional stirring devices used for the preparation of magnesium-based composite materials are mostly manually operated by a stirring mechanism to extend into the furnace to stir the alloy melt. The above manual stirring method requires the operator to be continuously above the furnace during stirring. In view of the relatively active chemical properties of magnesium alloys, it is easy to produce open flames during stirring, thereby affecting the personal safety of the operator. In addition, manual stirring has defects in the accurate control of stirring speed and stirring angle. In order to solve the above problems, the existing stirring method has evolved into a form in which a machine replaces the operator for stirring, such as using a forklift to clamp the stirring mechanism and extend it into the furnace for stirring. However, forklift machines have problems such as large vibration and easy deviation, as well as low safety factor and poor stirring accuracy. Summary of the invention

[0023] It can be seen from the above technical solutions that the present invention has the following beneficial effects:
[0024] 1. In the present invention, a linear drive module is used to drive the stirring mechanism to move vertically, so that the stirring shaft and the stirring part thereon are extended into the interior of the stirring furnace. When the driving source is working, the power is transmitted to the stirring part through the output shaft and the stirring shaft, and the melt in the stirring furnace is stirred by the stirring part. At the same time, when the linear drive module drives the stirring part to move up and down along the inside of the melt, the melt can be stirred up and down reciprocatingly. By arranging the stirring mechanism on the linear drive module, and the linear drive module is arranged on the frame, the stirring mechanism can be effectively fixed by the frame and the linear drive module, thereby reducing the risk of vibration and deviation of the stirring mechanism during operation, so as to improve the safety of the stirring work; at the same time, the stirring speed and time are controlled by the power source, so the stirring process can be accurately controlled to improve the stirring accuracy.
[0025] 2. Specifically, the stirring shaft is acted upon by an external driving force so that the stirring shaft rotates relative to the second adapter column. Since the second adapter column is rotationally connected to the transition block, and the transition block is rotationally connected to the first adapter column, when the stirring shaft rotates relative to the second adapter column, the active deflection of the transition block can be utilized to realize the rotation of the stirring shaft relative to the first adapter column, thereby realizing the axial angle adjustment of the stirring shaft relative to the output shaft, so as to adjust the position of the stirring portion at the bottom of the stirring shaft relative to the melt. In this way, the influence of the inclination angle of the stirring portion and the position of the stirring portion on the enhanced particle dispersion effect can be explored. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0039] A preferred embodiment of the present invention is described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0040] When preparing particle-reinforced magnesium-based composites by semi-solid stirring casting technology, the reinforcing particles need to be added to the matrix alloy melt and stirred. However, the existing stirring method has certain defects in terms of stirring safety and stirring precision control.
[0041] The embodiment of the present invention adopts the following technical solution: Figure 1 , Figure 2, a stirring device for preparing high-strength magnesium-based composite materials, comprising a frame 10, a stirring furnace 20, a linear drive module 30 and a stirring mechanism 40. Further, the stirring furnace 20 is arranged on the inner side of the frame 10, and the stirring furnace 20 is used to place reinforcing particles and matrix alloys. When in use, the matrix alloy is placed in the stirring furnace and forms a molten state, and the reinforcing particles are added to the matrix alloy melt to achieve mixing of the two, that is, the mixing process is carried out in the stirring furnace. The linear drive module 30 is arranged on the side wall of the frame 10, and the stirring mechanism 40 is arranged at the output end of the linear drive module 30, so that the linear drive module 30 can drive the stirring mechanism 40 to move vertically back and forth along the frame 10 to obtain the up and down reciprocating stirring effect of the stirring mechanism 40. Further, the stirring mechanism 40 includes a power source 410, an output shaft 420, a stirring shaft 430, a stirring part 440 and an adjusting component. The stirring shaft 430 is movably arranged at the end of the output shaft 420 of the power source 410, and the stirring part 440 The adjusting component is arranged at the end of the stirring shaft 430, and the adjusting component is arranged on the shaft of the output shaft 420, and the adjusting component is used to adjust the axial angle of the stirring shaft 430 relative to the axial angle of the output shaft 420, so as to change the position of the stirring part 440 relative to the melt. When in use, the linear drive module is used to drive the stirring mechanism to move vertically, so as to extend the stirring shaft and the stirring part thereon into the interior of the stirring furnace. When working, the driving source transmits the power through the output shaft and the stirring shaft and to the stirring part, and the stirring part is used to stir the melt in the stirring furnace. At the same time, when the linear drive module drives the stirring part to move up and down along the inside of the melt, the melt can be stirred up and down reciprocatingly. In this application, the stirring mechanism is arranged on the linear drive module, and the linear drive module is arranged on the frame. The stirring mechanism can be effectively fixed by the frame and the linear drive module, thereby reducing the risk of vibration and deviation of the stirring mechanism during operation, so as to improve the safety of the stirring work; at the same time, the stirring speed and time are controlled by the power source, so that the stirring process can be accurately controlled to improve the stirring accuracy.
[0042] It should be noted that in the stirring process, a combination of up and down reciprocating stirring, low-speed stirring, short-time stirring, high-speed stirring and long-time stirring is generally adopted. Low-speed stirring is usually used for preliminary mixing of reinforcing particles, which can prevent bubbles from entering the melt, reduce vortex formation, help to evenly distribute particles, and improve the overall uniformity of the material. High-speed stirring is usually carried out after preliminary dispersion, breaking the particle agglomeration through strong shear force, while increasing the kinetic energy of the particles in the melt, enhancing the interaction between the particles and the matrix, improving the bonding quality of the reinforcing particles and the matrix, preventing particle aggregation, and improving the microscopic uniformity of the material. As for low-speed stirring, since it is in the initial stage of the stirring process, it has an important influence on the entire stirring effect, and the shape, inclination and position of the stirring part relative to the melt during low-speed stirring will affect the flow pattern of the melt, and thus will affect the distribution of the reinforcing particles, and then affect the dispersion effect. Since the traditional stirring shaft and the output shaft of the power source are coaxially arranged, it is impossible to adjust the inclination of the stirring part and the position relative to the melt, so it is impossible to explore the influence of the above factors on the dispersion effect of the reinforcing particles. The present application utilizes the action of the adjustment component to drive the stirring shaft to rotate relative to the output shaft, and adjusts the axial angles of the stirring shaft and the output shaft to change the position of the stirring part relative to the melt. In this way, the influence of the inclination angle of the stirring part and the position of the stirring part relative to the melt on the enhanced particle dispersion effect can be explored.
[0043] Reference Figure 3 As a preferred technical solution of this embodiment, the frame 10 includes a bottom beam 110, a frame body 120, a middle frame 130 and a top frame 140. The frame body 120 is specifically a frame structure. The frame body 120 is fixedly arranged on the top of the bottom beam 110, the middle frame 130 is arranged at the side wall position of the frame body 120, and the top frame 140 is arranged on the top of the frame body 120. When in use, the bottom beam, the frame body, the middle frame and the top frame are used to form a main frame structure. The interior of the main frame structure is hollow and is used to place the stirring furnace 20. At the same time, the main frame structure can also be used as an installation base for the linear drive module and the stirring mechanism.
[0044] Further, see Figure 4The linear drive module 30 includes a mounting seat 310, a servo motor 320 and a moving block 330. The mounting seat 310 is fixedly arranged vertically along the frame 10, and the mounting seat 310 is arranged on the side wall of the top frame 140. The servo motor 320 is arranged on the mounting seat 310. The moving block 330 is arranged at the output end of the servo motor 320, and the moving block 330 can slide along the mounting seat 310. It should be noted that the power source 410 is a motor, and the power source 410 is arranged on the moving block 330. At the same time, a lead screw is provided on the rotating shaft at the output end of the servo motor 320, and a lead screw nut seat is threadedly connected to the lead screw. The moving block is placed as a whole on the outside of the lead screw nut seat, so that when the servo motor is working, it can drive the lead screw nut seat to move, and the lead screw nut seat further drives the moving block to move vertically along the mounting seat, so as to drive the power source to move back and forth up and down, and further drive the stirring mechanism to move back and forth up and down.
[0045] Reference Figure 5 , Figure 6 , Figure 7 In some embodiments, the obtuse angle between the extended line of the output shaft 420 axis and the axis of the stirring shaft 430 is in the range of 135° to 180°. Furthermore, in order to adjust the axial angle of the stirring shaft 430 relative to the output shaft 420, a switching mechanism is provided at the end of the output shaft 420. Specifically, the switching mechanism includes a first switching column 450, a transition block 460 and a second switching column 470. The first switching column 450 is rotatably connected to the output shaft 420. The transition block 460 is rotatably arranged at the end of the first switching column 450, and the transition block 460 is rotatably connected to the end of the first switching column 450 away from the output shaft 420. The second switching column 470 is rotatably arranged on the transition block 460. 0, and the second adapter column 470 is rotatably connected to the end of the transition block 460 away from the first adapter column 450. When in use, the stirring shaft 430 is rotatably connected to the end of the second adapter column 470 away from the transition block 460, so that the stirring shaft can be driven by an external driving force to rotate relative to the second adapter column. Since the second adapter column is rotatably connected to the transition block, and the transition block is rotatably connected to the first adapter column, when the stirring shaft rotates relative to the second adapter column, the active deflection of the transition block can be used to realize the rotation of the stirring shaft relative to the first adapter column, thereby realizing the axial angle adjustment of the stirring shaft 430 relative to the output shaft 420, so as to adjust the position of the stirring portion at the bottom of the stirring shaft relative to the melt.
[0046] It should be noted that by adjusting the axial angle of the stirring shaft relative to the output shaft, not only the position of the stirring part relative to the melt can be adjusted, but also the vertical movement of the linear drive module can be combined to achieve stirring and mixing of different layers of the melt. In addition, when changing the axial angle of the stirring shaft relative to the output shaft, the angle of the stirring part can be adjusted synchronously to adjust the angle at which the stirring part cuts into the melt. Since the different angles at which the stirring part cuts into the melt will affect the dispersion effect of the reinforced particles, the influence of the aforementioned factors on the dispersion effect of the reinforced particles in the alloy matrix can be further explored.
[0047] Further, see Figure 7 The first adapter column 450 and the second adapter column 470 have the same structure, both of which include a column body 481, a first connecting seat 482 and an adapter block 483. There are two first connecting seats 482, and the two first connecting seats are axially extended outward from the end face of the column body 481. It should be noted that the two first connecting seats are symmetrically distributed along the radial direction of the column body 481, and the adapter block 483 is rotatably arranged between the two first connecting seats 482. In this way, the column bodies of the first adapter column 450 and the second adapter column 470 serve as fixed connection parts, and the first connecting seats serve as movable connection parts, thereby forming a movable connection mode of the first adapter column, the transition block, the second adapter column and the stirring shaft in sequence, so that when the stirring shaft is driven to rotate by external force, the stirring shaft has sufficient movable deflection.
[0048] Furthermore, the transition block 460 includes an annular base 461 and a second connecting seat 462. It should be noted that the second connecting seats 462 are provided on both end surfaces of the annular base 461, and the second connecting seats on each surface are symmetrically distributed along their respective end surfaces, so that structures for connecting to external components can be formed on both sides of the annular base 461. Specifically, the second connecting seats 462 at both ends of the transition block 460 are rotatably connected to the adapter blocks 483 in the first adapter column 450 and the second adapter column 470, respectively. In this way, the transition block can be movably connected to the first adapter column and the second adapter column.
[0049] Further, see Figure 5 , Figure 6The adjusting assembly includes a connecting tube 491, a seat body 492, a web 493, a fixing ring 494, an adjusting cylinder 495 and an adjusting rod 497. The connecting tube 491 is fixedly arranged on the shaft wall of the output shaft 420, the seat body 492 is arranged on the outer wall of the connecting tube, the fixing ring 494 is fixedly connected to the seat body 492 through the web 493, the number of the adjusting cylinders 495 is two, and the two adjusting cylinders are radially symmetrically distributed along the inner side of the fixing ring 494, and the adjusting rod 497 is rotatably arranged on the piston rod 496 at the output end of the adjusting cylinder 495, wherein the end of the adjusting rod 497 away from the piston rod 496 is connected to the second The side walls of the adapter column 470 are rotatably connected. When in use, when the power source transmits power to the stirring shaft through the output shaft, the fixing ring is driven to rotate through the aforementioned connecting tube, seat body, and width plate. When it is necessary to adjust the axial angle of the stirring shaft relative to the axial angle of the output shaft, the cylinder is adjusted to drive the piston rod at its output end to extend and retract. The stirring shaft is driven to rotate relative to the second adapter column by controlling the length of the cylinder piston rod on both sides. Under the rotational deflection of the transition block, the transition block is further rotated relative to the first adapter column, thereby obtaining the axial angle adjustment of the stirring shaft relative to the output shaft to change the position of the stirring part relative to the melt.
[0050] It should be noted that the cylinder bottom of the adjusting cylinder 495 is rotatably arranged on the inner wall of the fixing ring 494, and at the same time, the piston rod at the output end of the adjusting cylinder is rotatably connected to the adjusting rod, and the adjusting rod is rotatably connected to the side wall of the second adapter column, so that the freedom of movement of the stirring shaft can be increased.
[0051] Reference Figure 8 In some embodiments, the stirring portion 440 includes a disk body 441, a first stirring blade 442 and a second stirring blade 443, the disk body 441 is fixedly arranged at the end of the stirring shaft 430, the first stirring blade 442 is evenly distributed along the circumference of the end surface of one side of the disk body 441, and the second stirring blade 443 is evenly distributed along the circumference of the end surface of the other side of the disk body 441, wherein the first stirring blade 442 and the second stirring blade 443 are arranged on the disk body 441 in a staggered manner, and the first stirring blade 442 and the second stirring blade 443 are both provided with leakage holes 444, when the matrix alloy melt and the reinforcement particles are stirred by the stirring portion, the disk body rotates with the stirring shaft, and will synchronously drive the first stirring blade and the second stirring blade to rotate, because the first stirring blade and the second stirring blade are staggered, the first stirring blade and the second stirring blade stir the mixed melt during the rotation process, and at the same time, the existence of the leakage holes can further improve the mixing effect of the reinforcement particles and the matrix alloy melt.
[0052] The present invention also provides a method for using the stirring device for preparing the high-strength magnesium-based composite material, comprising the following steps:
[0053] S1, the linear drive module drives the stirring mechanism to move vertically, so as to extend the stirring shaft and the stirring part thereon into the stirring furnace;
[0054] S2, when the driving source is working, the power is transmitted to the stirring part through the output shaft, the adapter mechanism and the stirring shaft, and the melt in the stirring furnace is stirred by the stirring part. At the same time, the linear driving module can stir the melt up and down when driving the stirring part to move up and down inside the melt;
[0055] S3, using the adjustment cylinders on both sides to change the length of their piston rods respectively, so as to drive the stirring shaft to rotate relative to the output shaft, and adjusting the axial angles of the stirring shaft and the output shaft to change the relative position of the stirring part to the melt, and then using the driving source to drive the adjusted stirring part to stir the melt;
[0056] S4. After the stirring is completed, the stirring shaft and the output shaft are coaxially distributed by adjusting the cylinders on both sides, and the linear drive module is used to drive the stirring part to move out of the stirring furnace.
[0057] Reference Fig. 9 ,in, Fig. 9 (a) is the metallographic image of the base alloy VW103. Fig. 9 (b), (c), and (d) are metallographic images of 2wt.%, 4wt.%, and 6wt.% iron-based amorphous particle reinforced magnesium rare earth-based composite materials prepared by the stirring device and the use method provided by the present invention, respectively. From a macroscopic observation, when the amount of FMGp added is small, it is distributed relatively evenly in the VW103 matrix alloy. When the amount of FMGp added reaches 6wt.%, FMGp has local particle clustering phenomenon in the VW103 matrix. The local clustering phenomenon can be attributed to the difference in thermal conductivity between the reinforcement FMGp and the VW103 alloy part during the solidification process, which leads to the disorder of the temperature field of the solidification interface, so that FMGp is concentrated at the grain boundary. In addition, it is also found that the grains near FMGp are finer. This is because FMGp, as a heterogeneous metal particle, its surface can be used as a nucleation site to promote non-uniform nucleation of grains and inhibit the continued growth of grains. When the amount of FMGp added reaches 4wt.%, the grains of the composite material are the finest.
[0058] In order to clearly observe the morphology of the precipitated phase and FMGp in the composite material, refer to Fig.10 , Fig.10 (a) is a scanning electron microscope image of the base alloy VW103 at a scale of 100 μm. Fig.10(b), (c), and (d) are scanning electron microscope images of 2wt.%, 4wt.%, and 6wt.% FMGp reinforced VW103 magnesium-based composite materials prepared by the stirring device and the use method provided by the present invention at a scale of 100μm. It is found that FMGp is relatively evenly distributed in the matrix along the grain boundaries, and the particle morphology is complete without obvious fracture and deformation. In addition, with the increase of FMGp content, the second phase continuously distributed along the grain boundaries gradually transforms into a discontinuous network structure. It can be seen from the observation that the grains near the iron-based amorphous particles are finer. This is because the iron-based amorphous particles are heterogeneous metal particles, and their surfaces can serve as nucleation sites to promote non-uniform nucleation of grains and inhibit the continued growth of grains. The iron-based amorphous particles reinforced magnesium rare earth-based composite materials prepared by the device and method of the present invention can effectively prevent the sedimentation of iron-based amorphous particles and achieve uniform distribution of iron-based amorphous particles in the matrix. The addition of iron-based amorphous particles does not affect the type of the second phase of the composite material, and has the effect of refining the grains, which helps to improve the mechanical properties of the composite material; and the composite material does not have defects such as oxidation inclusions during the preparation process. It shows that the device and use method provided by the present invention can disperse the iron-based amorphous particles in the matrix more evenly.
[0059] Reference Fig.11 In order to further confirm the phase composition and characteristics of the second phase in the composite material, EDS energy spectrum analysis was performed on the composite materials with different contents of reinforcing particles. Fig.11 , Fig.11 (a) is a scanning electron microscope image of the base alloy VW103 at a scale of 10 μm. Fig.11 (b), (c), and (d) are scanning electron microscope images of 2wt.%, 4wt.%, and 6wt.% FMGp reinforced VW103 magnesium-based composites at 10μm scale, respectively. The EDS analysis data are listed in Table 1. The analysis shows that the atomic ratio of Mg: (Gd, Y, Zn) of the second phase distributed along the grain boundary in the VW103 alloy is 5:1 ( Fig.11 Midpoints B, C, D), it is judged that the second phase is Mg5 (Gd, Y, Zn) phase. Fig.11 (b), (c), and (d) are EDS spectra of the composite material reinforced with FMGp. With the increase of FMGp content, the type and composition of the second phase in the composite material did not change. According to the atomic ratio of Mg:(Gd, Y, Zn) in the second phase, it can be judged that the second phase is Mg5(Gd, Y, Zn) phase. The point scan of FMGp shows that it mainly contains three elements: Fe, Cr, and Mo. The B and C elements are not accurately detected in the SEM electron microscope and are not listed.

[0062] In addition, refer to Fig.12 And the following Table 2, Fig.12 (a) is a stress-strain curve, (b) is a mechanical property statistical diagram, and Table 2 is a comparison table of room temperature mechanical properties of the matrix alloy and the iron-based amorphous particle reinforced magnesium rare earth-based composite material prepared by the present invention. It can be seen that with the increase of the amount of FMGp added, the ultimate tensile strength and elongation of the composite material show a trend of first increasing and then decreasing, while the yield strength shows a trend of gradually increasing, and compared with the matrix alloy, it is increased from 142MPa to 162MPa. When the amount of FMGp added in the composite material is 4wt.%, the overall mechanical properties of the FMGp / VW103 composite material are optimal, and its yield strength, ultimate tensile strength and elongation are 157MPa, 266MPa and 16.0%, respectively, which are 10.5%, 14.6% and 39.5% higher than those of the matrix alloy, respectively; further indicating that the FMGp / VW103 composite material prepared by the semi-solid casting technology effectively prevents the sedimentation of FMGp particles and realizes the uniform distribution of FMGp particles in the matrix. The addition of FMGp does not affect the type of the second phase of the composite material, and has the effect of refining the grains, which is helpful to improve the performance of the composite material. Therefore, the device and the method of use of the present invention are helpful to improve the mechanical properties of the composite material.
