Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a pest repellent and its application, and specifically relates to a chemical repellent prepared with a polyol compound as an effective substance and capable of effectively inhibiting mosquito infestation, and related applications of the polyol compound and the chemical repellent, and belongs to the field of household sanitary insecticide products. Background Art
[0002] Pest repellent, also known as insect repellent, is a kind of agent that can make pests flee. Although the agent itself is non-toxic and has the effect of killing pests, it has a special smell that can make pests avoid or disperse pests. Repellents are usually produced by plants or artificially synthesized. Among them, plant repellents mainly rely on substances extracted from plants as active ingredients, such as natural citronella oil and lemon eucalyptus oil (PMD). The main ingredients of chemical repellents include DEET, picaridin, and dimethoate. These ingredients are considered to be relatively safe chemical mosquito repellents. For example, DEET is a widely used insecticide with a safe concentration range of 10% to 30%. The mosquito repellent time can reach 4 to 12 hours. It is suitable for children over 2 months old and adults, but the dosage and use time still need to be controlled when using it.
[0003] At present, although plant repellents are favored by some consumers due to their natural ingredients, their mosquito repellent effect is often not as good as chemical repellents. For example, lemon eucalyptus oil is recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as having a certain mosquito repellent effect, but its effectiveness is only half of DEET. And since it is not clear whether lemon eucalyptus oil is harmful to children under 3 years old, it is not recommended for children under 3 years old. Therefore, in order to ensure the pest repellent effect, it is particularly important to research and develop a safe and non-toxic chemical repellent with a new chemical active ingredient.
[0004] In the prior art, Chinese patent CN1113226031A mentions a pest repellent composition, which includes two components, one is a non-volatile liquid oil component selected from silicone oil, ester oil, ether oil, hydrocarbon oil, aliphatic alcohol and polyol; the other is a repellent component selected from N,N-diethyltoluamide (DEET), 1-methylpropyl-2-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperidinylcarboxylate (icaridin), 3-(acetylbutyl)aminopropionic acid ethyl ester (IR3535) and p-menthane-3,8-diol (PMD). By using oily components such as silicone oil and polyol, the composition can have a good touch when applied to the skin, and at the same time, it can also improve the lasting effect of the repellent in the composition. In addition, Japanese patent JP 6918640 B2 also mentions a pest repellent, which contains pest repellent ingredients including at least one of ethyl 3-[acetylbutylamino]propionate, 2-2-hydroxyethylpiperidine-1-carboxylate, 1-methylpropyl and p-pentane-3-8-diol (PMD), and the viscosity of the pest repellent reaches 10 mPa·s or more by adding a thickener. Summary of the invention
[0005] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a pest repellent and its application, in which a polyol compound with a specific structure is used as a repellent component to prepare the pest repellent. The polyol compound itself is safe and has an effect comparable to that of existing similar mosquito repellent active ingredients, thus providing a new choice for existing chemical repellent ingredients.
[0006] The present invention is achieved by the following technical scheme: application of a polyol compound in the preparation of a pest repellent, mixing the polyol compound with a solvent and water to prepare the pest repellent, wherein the polyol compound is a repellent component, and its structure is shown in the following formula (1):
[0007]
[0008] In formula (1), R1 and R2 are each selected from any one of -CH3, -CH2CH3, -CH2CH2CH3, -CH(CH3)2, -CH2CH2CH2CH3, -CH(CH3)CH2CH3, -CH2CH(CH3)2 or -C(CH3)3.
[0009] The polyol compound is selected from any one of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol, 2-methyl-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol, 2-methyl-2-propyl-1,3-propanediol, 2-methyl-2-butyl-1,3-propanediol, 2,2-diethyl-1,3-propanediol, 2-ethyl-2-propyl-1,3-propanediol, 2-ethyl-2-butyl-1,3-propanediol, 2,2-dipropyl-1,3-propanediol, 2-propyl-2-butyl-1,3-propanediol and 2,2-dibutyl-1,3-propanediol.
[0010] The solvent is selected from any one of ethanol, propylene glycol or butylene glycol.
[0011] The present invention also provides a pest repellent as described above, wherein the pest repellent contains 1 to 30% of polyol compound, 10 to 65% of solvent and 30 to 65% of water in terms of mass percentage.
[0012] The present invention also provides the use of the above-mentioned pest repellent in the preparation of smearable mosquito repellent products, wherein the mosquito repellent products include mosquito repellent liquid, mosquito repellent floral water, mosquito repellent lotion and mosquito repellent cream.
[0013] Compared with the prior art, the present invention has the following advantages and beneficial effects:
[0014] (1) The present invention is the first to use a polyol compound of a specific structure in a pest repellent. By mixing the polyol compound with a solvent and water, the polyol compound can exert a mosquito repellent effect on mosquitoes, and has a mosquito repellent effect comparable to that of existing similar mosquito repellent ingredients (such as menthyl glycol, chlorpyrifos, etc.), thereby expanding the diversity of repellent ingredient selection in current chemical repellents.
[0015] (2) The present invention uses a polyol compound with a specific structure as a repellent component because the hydroxyl groups in its molecular structure can form a stable hydrogen bond network, usually have high thermal stability and chemical stability, and are very safe. They are common ingredients in cosmetics, medicines, and industrial raw materials.
[0016] (3) The present invention uses a polyol compound with a specific structure as a mosquito repellent component. The mosquito repellent test of the polyol compound can prove that according to the test method of GB / T13917.9, one hand presses 1.5 μL / cm 2 The sample to be tested was evenly smeared with a certain dosage, which had mosquito repellent effect under different concentration conditions. The mosquito repellent duration increased with the increase of concentration, which was comparable to the effect of existing similar mosquito repellent active ingredients.
[0017] (4) The present invention uses a polyol compound with a specific structure as a repellent component. The mosquito repellent test on the polyol compound can prove that the mosquito repellent time can reach 2.5h to 7.25h under different concentration conditions, which meets the protection time required for outdoor use of mosquito repellent products. After that, test once every 1 hour to determine the effective repellent time of the mosquito repellent. Each time, a blank test is performed on the control hand first. The test insects with qualified attack power can continue the test. If the test insects have unqualified attack power, they need to be replaced with qualified test insects for the test.
