Functionalized wood prepared by the technology of the invention has significantly improved impact strength. The impact strength of functionalized wood without toughening treatment is reduced by 75%, and the impact strength of functionalized wood with toughening treatment is reduced only by 35%. Meanwhile, the toughening treatment does not reduce other performance of the functionalized wood; the dimension stability is obviously improved; and the antiswelling efficient is up to 50-70%.

The method is a novel method combining the nano-luster with the polymer. The polymer-coated nano-cluster core-shell microsphere prepared by the method not only improves the stability and biocompatibility of the nano-cluster, but also introduces new chemical functions so as to integrate the functions of the nano-cluster and the polymer. Therefore, the method provides the novel multifunctional material with good stability for research on biomarkers, drug detection and sensors.
