AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

In this patented technology, we developed an improved type called HyaSurea that was found effective against various types of medical conditions such as seafoams (several forms) and burns due to excess body fluids accumulated inside them during their healing process. These materials were also able to stop bleeding when they happened again. Additionally, our research suggests combining these agents with certain medications could help fight off diseases related to blood clots. Overall, this innovative solution offers technical benefits over existing methods like surgery, dressings, and antibiotic therapy.

Problems solved by technology

This patents discuss different types of medical treatments called temporary surgeries or trauma cases where patients may have severe conditions caused by water exposure. These procedures involve stopping bleed-out fluids before they get better careers until their symptoms become apparent. However, current methods require long periods of hospitalization because these techniques only provide quick fixations without providing complete protection against infectious agents like viruses and germs.

Embodiment 1

[0041] Preparation of cross-linked hyaluronic acid

[0042] Hyaluronic acid (molecular weight is 2,000,000) 5g, make 1% solution, adjust pH to 8.5 with 0.1mol / L NaOH, fully stir. Place in a refrigerator at 4°C for 2 hours. Take it out and add 300ml of 1,2,7,8-epoxyoctane at 4°C while stirring, stir thoroughly for 30 minutes, and react at a constant temperature for 24 hours at 25°C, adjust the pH to neutral with HCl, and transfer the reaction product to dialysis In the bag, alternately dialyze with 0.1 mol / L NaCl solution and 25% ethanol solution for 60 hours, and concentrate the solution in the dialysis bag at 40° C. under reduced pressure to one-third of the original volume. After taking it out, place it in a vacuum drying oven at 40°C and dry to constant weight to obtain a cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel with a swelling rate of 400 times in seawater.

Embodiment 2

[0044] Preparation of cross-linked hyaluronic acid

[0045] Hyaluronic acid 5g (molecular weight is 2,000,000) is made into a 2% solution, adjusted to pH 5.5 with 0.1mol / L HCl, and fully stirred. Place in a refrigerator at 4°C for 2 hours. Take it out and add 300ml of 1,2,5,6-epoxyhexane at 4°C while stirring, stir thoroughly for 30 minutes, and react at constant temperature for 12 hours at 35°C, adjust the pH to neutral with NaOH, and transfer the reaction product to dialysis The bag was dialyzed alternately with 0.1 mol / L NaCl solution and 25% ethanol solution for 60 hours, and the solution in the dialysis bag was concentrated under reduced pressure at 40°C to one-third of the original volume. After taking it out, put it in a vacuum drying oven at 40°C and dry it to constant weight to obtain a cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel with a swelling rate of 360 times in seawater.

Embodiment 3

[0047] Preparation of cross-linked hyaluronic acid

[0048] Hyaluronic acid 5g (molecular weight is 2,000,000) is made into a 3% solution, adjusted to pH 4.0 with 0.1mol / L HCl, and fully stirred. Place in a refrigerator at 4°C for 2 hours. After taking it out, add 150ml of 1,4-butanediol glycidyl ether at 4°C while stirring, stir thoroughly for 30 minutes, and react at a constant temperature for 12 hours at 30°C, adjust the pH to neutral with NaOH, and transfer the reaction product to a dialysis bag , with 0.1mol / L NaCl solution and 25% ethanol solution alternately dialyzed for 60 hours, the solution in the dialysis bag was concentrated under reduced pressure at 40°C to one-third of the original volume. After taking it out, put it in a vacuum drying oven at 40°C and dry it to constant weight to obtain a cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel with a swelling rate of 600 times in seawater.

Abstract

The invention relates to an application of a hyaluronic acid and a salt thereof as well as a cross-linked hyaluronic acid and a salt thereof in preparation of drugs for treating and preventing seawater immersion injuries, water injuries and complications thereof. The hyaluronic acid and the salt thereof and the cross-linked hyaluronic acid and the salt thereof, having proper swelling capacity, excellent sea water insulating effect, skin adhesion in water and blood hemostatic function, can form a protective layer on the wounds to realize rapid insulation of hemostasis from sea water and, therefore, can be used to prevent and treat seawater immersion injury caused by immersion of wound in seawater and complications thereof and to promote wound healing.
