Abstract

The invention relates to an airport taxiway sidelight, which comprises an LED light source, a light condensation and reflection cup, a prism and a concave lens. The prism is provided with a light entrance surface, a fully reflecting surface, a first light exit surface and a second light exit surface, wherein the first light exit surface is arranged around the second light exit surface; the first part of light emitted by the LED light source can enter the prism through the light entrance surface after being reflected by the light condensation and reflection cup and then form illuminating light covering 360 degrees in the horizontal direction and 0-6 degree(s) in the vertical direction from the first light exit surface after being reflected by the fully reflecting surface; and the second part of light emitted by the LED light source can enter the prism directly through the light entrance surface, exit from the second light exit surface of the prism and then form illuminating light covering 15-90 degrees in the vertical direction after being diffused by the concave lens. The invention can satisfy the light distribution requirements of the embedded taxiway sidelight that the light can be emitted within 360 degrees in the horizontal direction, the light intensity is higher than or equal to 2cd within 0-6 degree(s) in the vertical direction and the projected light within 15-90 degrees in the vertical direction is visible.
