Embodiment Construction

[0011] Based on the classic evaluation elements of urban ecosystem health, combined with the characteristics of urban ecosystem and emergy analysis, five elements of vitality, organizational structure, resilience, maintenance of service functions, and environmental effects are selected as the evaluation framework. According to the basic procedure of emergy analysis, the emergy analysis is carried out on the urban ecological system, and the emergy index system is obtained. Combined with index correlation analysis and subjective experience judgment, the appropriate emergy indicators were selected and incorporated into the established urban ecosystem health evaluation framework to form the urban ecosystem health emergy index (Table 1). The index is divided into target layer, element layer, and indicator layer, consisting of 5 categories and 17 indicators.

Abstract

Emergy analysis is introduced into urban ecological system health assessment research, various ecological flows such as a matter flow, an energy flow, an information flow and the like in an urban ecological system are subjected to unified accounting, and a corresponding urban ecological system health emergy index is constructed to describe the healthy structures and function characteristics of the urban ecological system from the biophysical level. The urban ecological system health emergy index takes five elements, namely vigor, organizational structures, restoring force, service function maintenance and environment action as a frame, takes 17 emergy indexes as a kernel, and reflects the health conditions of the urban ecological system aiming at each element respectively. The index has the advantages of building a contact bridge among subsystems of a city, seeking a unified representation mode of the structures and function characteristics of the subsystems, being suitable for disclosing the structures and function characteristics of the urban ecological system and a mode of interaction of the urban ecological system and environment from a matter energy metabolism angle, and contributing to researching the internal driving mechanism of the urban ecological system from the biophysical level.
