The method comprises the following steps of: setting an integration rule corresponding to interactive operation between interactive objects; collecting interactive operation information between the interactive objects; comparing the collected interactive operation information with the integration rule to acquire a compared integration value result; and for at least one of the interactive objects, performing the output operation of the integration value result in the position corresponding to the interactive objects in the instant communication client. By utilizing the invention, according to interactive operation information such as communication time, communication frequency or communication information quantity and the like between the interactive objects, the corresponding integration grade information is acquired and output, so that a user can visually acquire the communication condition between the user and different contacts by viewing integration grades with the different contacts.
