The invention discloses a webpage resource request method for an embedded browser, which includes the steps: acquiring website information inputted by a user; analyzing corresponding main resources according to a website information request; when the main resources need to request child resources, detecting the network condition, wherein the child resources include necessary child resources and non-necessary child resources; and when the network condition is low, requesting to download the necessary child resources in the child resources corresponding to the main resources in priority. The invention further provides the corresponding embedded browser. When the child resources are acquired, if the network condition is poor, only the necessary child resources are acquired and then are distributed and displayed, and incapability of a webpage in display due to incomplete acquisition of the non-necessary child resources can be avoided, so that user experience is improved.
