Abstract

The invention provides a gateway device, a communication system and a flow control method capable of reducing communication flow. The gateway device comprises a request message receiving part, a request message analysis part, a request message recording part, a request message caching part and a request message cache management part, wherein the request message receiving part is used for receiving a request message with a terminal device having a sleep function in a limited network as the access target is received, the request message analysis part is used for analyzing the received request message and obtaining information contained in the request message, and the request message recording part is used for building and saving a request message record specific to the received request message with reference to the information obtained by the request message analysis part; the request message caching part is used for caching the request message which is to be sent to the terminal device having the sleep function; the request message cache management part is used for discarding the received request message instead of caching the received request message in the request message caching part and adding a discard mark to the request message record corresponding to the received request message when it is judged that the cache space of the request message caching part is full.
