Abstract

The invention discloses an image enhancement device and method. The method comprises the following steps: according to a predetermined amplification ratio, amplifying an image as a low-frequency portion of an amplification image; obtaining a high-frequency portion of the image; performing portioning on the low-frequency portion of the amplification image so as to match a pixel block of the image; by use of the pixel block of the image, establishing a corresponding relation between a pixel block of the low-frequency portion of the amplification image and a pixel block of the high-frequency portion; and superposing the pixel block of the high-frequency portion to the low-frequency portion of the amplification image so as to obtain an image with improved resolution. The method is simple and highly efficient, greatly reduces the computational complexity of image processing and can realize real-time conversion and watching of high-definition images.
