Abstract

One embodiment of the invention provides a method for starting the OTG function of a mobile terminal and a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal is configured with a first Hall switch. The method comprises following steps: when the mobile terminal is put in a virtual reality VR device, the mobile terminal receives a first interruption signal generated by the first Hall switch and the VR device is configured with a second Hall switch; for the first interruption signal, the mobile terminal starts the OTG function; when a second interruption signal generated by the second Hall switch is received within a preset period of time, the OTG function is kept on. Thereby the problem that the OTG function of the mobile terminals in the prior art needs to keep the normally start state is solved so that the mobile terminal can turn on the OTG function on demand; the reliability and safety of USB interface of mobile terminals is increased.
