The sweeping robot comprises a robot body, mounting blocks are fixedly connected to two sides of the robot body respectively, mechanical arms are fixedly connected to front faces of the mounting blocks, transverse adjusting blocks are fixedly connected to opposite sides of the two mechanical arms respectively and provided with adjusting grooves, adjusting blocks are slidably connected in the adjusting grooves, the top and the bottom of the inner wall of each adjusting groove are provided with slide grooves, and sliders are slidably connected in the slide grooves. By improvement of a telescopic cylinder, the adjusting blocks can be driven to move in the adjusting grooves, two fixing sleeves can be driven to move in opposite directions by longitudinal adjusting rods, and thus the lengths of soft retractable sleeves can be adjusted conveniently. Since surfaces of the soft retractable sleeves are provided with soft bristles, when the retractable sleeves stretch and retract, nonuniformity in bristle distribution is avoided, and stability in stretching and retracting of the soft retractable sleeves is further improved by use with internal pistons.
