Abstract

The invention provides a core network selection method, an access network entity, UE and a system. The method comprises the following steps: a user terminal UE initiates an initial access process message to a network, wherein the network comprises at least one access network entity, the initial access process message carries core network type selection information, and the core network type selection information is used for determining the core network type to which the UE needs to access for the access network entity. Therefore, the UE can sends a corresponding NAS message version according to the core network type needing to access, the access network entity can determine the core network type to which the UE needing to access according to an access request, and route the access requestof the UE to the corresponding core network, thereby avoiding the access abnormity of the UE.
