Abstract

The invention discloses a resource scheduling method and system of a heterogeneous network, and relates to the field of the software-defined network. The method comprises the following steps: a controller receives a MAC address of a physical server reported by a physical gateway switch and an IP address of the physical gateway switch, wherein the physical gateway switch acquires the MAC address ofthe subordinated physical server; the controller reports the MAC address of the physical server and the IP address of the physical gateway switch to a cloud management platform; the cloud managementplatform issues the MAC address of the physical server and the IP address of the physical gateway switch to the subordinated virtual extensible local area network tunnel terminal VTEP, thereby facilitating the subordinated virtual machine of the VTEP to realize the resource scheduling on the physical server through the MAC address of the physical server and the IP address of the physical gateway switch. Therefore, an operation of scheduling the resource in a physical resource pool by a network unit in a cloud resource pool is realized under the heterogeneous environment, and the resource is effectively utilized.
